> 3 dayThe mechanism in both United are very difficult to work. Need to repeatedly press the unit down more than once to have the spring disengage and spring back to make the mark. Is is easier to just use a scribe instead of the center points that I purchased. Not happy with the product unfortunately. Thank you.

23-11-2024These seem well-built and sturdy, although the mechanism is a little stiff (maybe after I use it for a while, it will become smoother). I used it to make a few drill guides in a wood beam, and it worked just fine. One small negative is that if you dont know how to adjust the tension, these came with no instructions whatsoever. Fortunately its not hard to find this info online (or figure it out): the farther you unscrew the base (the end farthest away from the point) the less tension there is on the mechanism and the less force needed.

> 3 dayGreat punches. Made well. I bought to remove fixed high jet on my echo cs590 carburetor. Knocked old one out, and new one in, in seconds.

Reviews a lot
> 3 dayI dont think these are fully stainless steel, but thats somewhat expected at this price point. Both of my punches work as intended and require a pretty average amount of pressure to fully engage the punch. I havent tried messing with the spring intensity yet because there was no need, but you should be able to make it firmer or softer depending on your application. Just based on the price I doubt these will last a long time but worst case I have a couple backup/throw away punches as needed.

> 3 dayGiven the cost I didnt expect a high caliber tool, but I figured since there would be *two* of them I would at least wind up with 1 usable tool. I was wrong. The first punch never fires and is functionally just an awl. The second punch fired *1* time and immediately became stuck so now its functionally a paper weight. I could likely find a way to fix it but Id rather not spend time fixing a tool before its first real use. Will return and purchase something else.

> 3 dayThis offer was for 2 identical punches at a low price. Very handy to have in 2 different locations. I dont know how long they will last, time and use will tell.

> 3 dayReplaced a 30 year old punch and these are great! So far the points seem to hold up well and the spring action is great.

> 3 dayThis is a usable and functional low budget center punch. The product listing indicates it’s made of “high-quality stainless steel” but it appears to be run of the mill steel. I saw no difference when I adjusted the spring tension and used the punch on 1/8” thick mild steel and the resulting dimple wasn’t very deep at any spring tension. That said, it’s usable and there’s admittedly little to complain about given the $6 price for 2 punches.
