> 3 dayIF yours doesnt punch holes, you have to open up the front part and change the direction of the spring. The spring that is closest to the hole punch part. For some reason the spring I received way put it backwards so it was catching on the mechanism inside and not pressing into the whole fully.

> 3 dayI bought these on a whim just to see what the spring loaded punch would do. It works fine 90% of the time buy the mechanism needs to be tightened down occasionally or you do not get that crisp punch into the wood.

> 3 dayNot much you can say about a center punch. Pros: They work well. I like the colored body b/c it makes the easier to see. Its nice to have a set of two. Cons: They both jammed on first use and didnt spring back. I suspect an assembly problem. I unscrewed the body took the parts out and reassembled. Theyve been fine since.

> 3 dayIts easy to use for pushing down but if you have a project which requires a push upwards or sideways, this tool isnt strong enough.

> 3 dayGreat punches. Made well. I bought to remove fixed high jet on my echo cs590 carburetor. Knocked old one out, and new one in, in seconds.

Greater than one weekI really like these centering punches. Ive been working on a project that involves drilling dozens of holes in mild steel. My old punch (another automatic) never left a satisfying dimple to start a drill bit. It would leave a mark to line things us, but it wasnt deep enough to ensure that the bit wouldnt wonder. Well not these punches! The point on these punches is sharp and suepr hard. The spring has a terrific punch to it and is strong enough to get a good start in any metal or wood surface. My drill bits of various sizes were always right on center following the dimple from these punches. Highly recommended.
