> 3 dayI have been quite pleased with these! They work great, are adjustable and seem to be well made! - Perfectly simple to use! - Just press your tip point at the very spot you want your bit or screw to start, and press the body down - You’ll feel the quick “pop” of the tool and that’s it! (Use the adjustment to twist yours for more or less spring force) - Absolutely no other tool or hammer required, just point and press! - Would absolutely recommend these! 10/10 a win for me!

> 3 dayIF yours doesnt punch holes, you have to open up the front part and change the direction of the spring. The spring that is closest to the hole punch part. For some reason the spring I received way put it backwards so it was catching on the mechanism inside and not pressing into the whole fully.

> 3 dayI use these mostly to make an indent for drilling. They work well for that. Ive used them on Aluminum and steel. I recommend clicking them several times to make a good indent so the drill bit stay where it should when starting to drill. You can also use these to break a car window in case you are trapped inside or you need to rescue someone. The parts are all metal and seem to be machined accurate enough to work well. Ive used similar punches that cost many times as much as these and they work pretty much the same.

> 3 dayThis is a usable and functional low budget center punch. The product listing indicates it’s made of “high-quality stainless steel” but it appears to be run of the mill steel. I saw no difference when I adjusted the spring tension and used the punch on 1/8” thick mild steel and the resulting dimple wasn’t very deep at any spring tension. That said, it’s usable and there’s admittedly little to complain about given the $6 price for 2 punches.

Greater than one weekIts easy to use for pushing down but if you have a project which requires a push upwards or sideways, this tool isnt strong enough.

> 3 dayItem description: Automatic Center Punch x2 Brand: Karmiero Item: B0BR8B8XKJ Date received: 2023-03-09 Headline - Nice value; good to have one in each toolbox, and useful in the car as well. Product Claims 2 ct Automatic Center Punch I received exactly what was claimed in the product description as to quantity (2 ct) and type (automatic center punch). The items came in a white pasteboard box, each within its own heat-sealed plastic bag. There were no instructions for these (none really are needed). Each item is purely mechanical, operated by spring/ratchet action. You merely push down with the pointy tip at the place you want a starting punch, and the spring loaded internal hammer loads up and knocks the point into the material. If you need a deeper mark, or the material is hard, you can repeat this action several times to create a larger mark. These also have utility to keep in your car, as a window breaker, in case you end up in high water due to going off the road or mistakenly driving into deep water during a flood or hurricane. These are relatively inexpensively made, based on a now-standard long-ago design (my grandfather, a machinist in his early years known for making many of his own tools, made his own automatic center punch to essentially this design, circa the 1920s), but they are solid steel and should last awhile if you are using them in soft or moderately hard materials. You can touch up the point with a grinder or sharpening stone as needed. The point of these is probably not hard enough to put a mark into a hardened steel.

> 3 dayReplaced a 30 year old punch and these are great! So far the points seem to hold up well and the spring action is great.
