> 3 dayI originally bought this for a trip where my 14 month old was not going to have his own room. When I told my parents and husband about the slumberpod, they were skeptical at best. They thought it was wholly unnecessary and the baby would be fine sleeping in his pack n play in my room with my husband. Well I bought it anyways because I really wanted a vacation where I did not need to wake up at 6am or earlier with a crying baby. Mind you, I have tried everything under the Sun to get my child to sleep in even until 7am, and nothing worked. Enter the slumberpod. First night in the slumberpod, my child slept until 9am. It was sheer magic and unheard of. Okay, this was the day after travel, maybe he was just over excited being in a new place. Surely this could not last. Man was everyone wrong, I have been using the slumberpod for over a week now. Both on vacation and since we got back in his bedroom. Once again for the first time since becoming a parent I am able to sleep in past 6am. Taking turns with my husband regarding who is getting up with the baby each day have officially ended. Now all three of us get to sleep. I cannot praise this device highly enough. This should be on every parents registry. I am about ready to buy one for every one of my friends with children, my mothers house, and my mother in laws house. This is the best money I have ever spent. With that being said, the only con I can find is that the area where you place the baby monitor is not great, we use a nanit and the thick plastic makes it very hard to see through to the baby. But it is manageable enough if it means that I can get upwards of 12 hours plus of sleep at night if I go to bed when the baby goes to bed. If you’re skeptical, don’t be. It is absolute sorcery the way the slumberpod works.

> 3 dayThis thing is worth the money. It is easy-ish and very quick to set up. Completely dark inside in a room with all the lights on. We thought it might get a little warm inside since the fabric is thick, but it has small vents which you can Velcro in place (pictured) which still keeps it dark but gives some peace of mind with air circulation. It fit nicely in our hotel room over a normal sized pack and play. Toddler was not able to unzip it or tip it over (he didn’t even try to). The only “meh” part of the pod is the zipper pocket for the monitor. It doesn’t work well with with cameras that have cords attached. The camera can only really point in one spot/corner and then moves if you try and zip it closed. It came with a bag to pack it up in and it’s small and light to carry. Overall very happy with this product and well worth the money. We will be able to use it for a long time!

> 3 dayI was hesitant to spend this much, but it was 100% worth it. We tried it out for the first time memorial day weekend. The room we were in was very bright in the early morning, but it was still pitch black in the pod. Our 8 month old slept 12.5 hours every night in this thing. 10/10. A little tricky to set up initially, but absolutely no regrets.

> 3 dayThis is a must have for anyone who travels or stays over at another house. Easy to set up and works great over a pack and play or crib. Perfect for hotel rooms where you have to share the same room with a kid but dont want to sit in the dark after the kid goes to bed.

Greater than one weekThis does WONDERS for keeping the light out and making it possible to share space with a young child while traveling. Ours is 2 years old and weve been using it since they were about 17 months old. Weve used it on several vacations in hotels and visits to other homes. Its easy to become good at assembling/disassembling it quickly and fitting it back into the carrying case it comes with. I would often assemble it, then just lift it up and fit it over the bed in question. Easier than trying to assemble it over the top of the bed. It fits over all port-a-cribs (pack & plays etc) and every crib I encountered, though a couple of those we needed to lean into the fact that the fabric is a bit stretchy (didnt stretch out though!). This is a particularly useful device when traveling in colder weather, as the interior of the slumberpod is about 5 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than the space around it. Even with the ventilation windows open. This was a bit of a challenge in summer months when the interior of the slumberpod was pushing 86F. We needed a fan to keep things cool enough for the little one to sleep well, even with a minimum of clothes on.

Greater than one weekThis is my first Amazon review ever, which is a testament to how much I love this pod! After sleep training my son I was so worried about how to replicate the circumstances that help him sleep (dark room, white noise, etc) when we travel. This pod is AMAZING - creates a dark, quiet space in any room with pockets for the monitor & a fan. My son is currently at the end of a 2-hour nap in a hotel room where there is a light on within 5 feet of his crib, and he is completely unbothered. It folds up really small, so taking it with me while traveling is easy. The only challenge is setting up - if you’ve ever set up a tent you’ll understand why (tent poles + small hotel room = comedy). The price tag might seem high, but after only 2 trips with it I would 100% buy it all over again.

> 3 day*Really long review, but I wanted to be as thorough as possible.* I think this is a really smart invention. We have used the SlumberPod every night for 9 weeks and will continue to use it while our baby (currently 13 weeks) room shares with us. Before I get into the review, I think it’s appropriate to offer a little back story so you understand my perspective and why we use this product. When I was pregnant, we didn’t “prepare” our cat well for bringing a baby home. At the time, our cat slept in our room on a cat bed and we would leave the door open, so he can roam around during the night if he chose. When we brought our daughter home from the hospital, we put her in our room in a pack-n-play and had to close the door at night (cat not in the room) because we were concerned he would jump in the pack-n-play. This made our cat cry and moan and meow ALL NIGHT LONG. This went on for weeks. I figured he would eventually stop meowing at all hours of the night, but at 3 weeks he was still going strong. While I was pregnant, I saw SlumberPod on a Facebook group I follow and people were raving about it, but at the time I didn’t know if I would purchase it right away because it’s a bit spendy and we knew we weren’t going to travel with our baby while she’s teeny tiny. I had looked around at alternative privacy pods that were less expensive, but frankly I found something I didn’t like about the ones I had looked at... I’ll touch more on that later on, so you know where my head was when making my decision. After about 3 weeks of hardly any sleep (between a newborn baby and a cat meowing all night), I purchased SlumberPod from Amazon in the wee hours of the morning. Did I / do I feel silly spending $150 to accommodate a cat, Yes! But, what do you do?! I needed sleep and I needed my daughter to be safe. I can honestly say, it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. We can leave our bedroom door open, which means our cat doesn’t meow all hours of the night anymore. I’m a better mom when I’m fully rested. **I do feel a responsibility to say that you should use common sense when buying SlumberPod to keep an animal out of the pack-n-play/ cot. I’m not sure if the makers of SlumberPod advise using it this way, but it works for us. My cat is 11 years old and just eats and sleeps. In all truthfulness, my cat probably wouldn’t have jumped in the pack-n-play anyway, but it’s nice to have something to keep him out just in case.** Here are my thoughts on the cheaper options I had considered and why I decided to pass on them: I looked at two other privacy pods and both of them have a flat top (where SlumberPod has a dome, tent-like design). I had concerns that if the cat did try to jump on the privacy pod- thinking it’s a table or other flat surface- he would land in my baby’s pack-n-play, which is obviously a safety concern. I also read reviews where people with older kiddos had issues with the kid standing in the pack-n-play and the top opening because of the flat surface and velcro. Before using SlumberPod, I had some concerns so I want to share what those concerns were and then my findings after using it daily for 9 weeks: 1. Would my baby be able to breathe well with a tent pod over her pack-n-play? Yes, she’s able to breathe just fine. There are several air vents and we have all of them open and the SlumberPod is still plenty dark with the vents open. 2. Would it be a pain to change the sheets on the infant insert mattress while keeping SlumberPod over the pack-n-play? No issues. The pack-n-play mattress has a tri-fold, so I just fold the mattress together and slide it in and out through the large door. 3. Would the zipper wake my baby when she’s in the drowsy state and we are putting her to bed? This probably depends on your child, but we haven’t had any issues with the zipper disturbing her. Additional thoughts: I also really like the baby monitor pocket. There is a clear window inside so if you have a video monitor you can still see your child. You can’t beat the customer service! The SlumberPod inventors are a mother- daughter duo and you can tell they really do care about their customers. I know it’s a spendy product, but I honestly think it’s worth it. I look at it as an investment and since we use it nightly, the cost per use goes down each day. Although we haven’t traveled with it yet, it seems like it would be easy to travel with because it’s so compact and isn’t too heavy- and yes, it comes with a travel case.

> 3 dayOverall this was what I needed. It was definitely helpful for everyone’s sleep to keep the baby in her own darkened space while traveling. It packs down pretty small and is easy enough to put together. I only have miner issues with the product. It got stuffy inside. We had a fan in one of the pockets, but it’s just tough to get good airflow . And the clear pocket for the monitor couldn’t be adjusted and was a tough to see through.

> 3 dayWe were on a family trip and our baby slept “like a baby. “ Even with all the ruckus going on as we tried to get our toddler to sleep in the same room. Greatest purchase ever. And nice quality.
