> 3 dayTLDR: If you indend to go direct drive at some point you should get a dual gear extruder instead of this. Full review: Everything in this kit is useful if you leave your printer as bowden drive. The spring upgrades are nice although I have seen there is now a silicone rubber version which is supposed to be a bit better than the springs. I have not tried those and am happy with the orange springs. The oversize aluminum adjuster wheels are great and better than the smaller plastic ones. The metal extruder works better than the plastic one, however when using in direct drive format it would click because it would let the filament slip through the single gear mechanism. I upgraded it to one of the metal red dual gear extruders instead. I am using the hero me 5 remix of the direct drivinator and it works great on my ender 3.

> 3 dayItem works very well and helps keep the bed leveled. Bought because my extruder wore down and didnt feed right. Only issue I had is it was cumbersome to install and the instructional video wasnt super helpful.

> 3 dayJust swapped this bad boy in, and so far, this kit works great on my Ender 3 Pro. But here are a few caveats: * The bed springs, even at the tightest setting, are quite a bit longer than the springs that come with the Ender 3 Pro. To avoid scraping your print bed, youll need to either tweak a bunch of settings to offset z, or raise the zeroing switch on the side of your printer. Even with that, I managed to get the printer into some state where it tried to go below the zeroing switch when manually setting Z position, leading to an ugly gouge in my print surface. This may be an issue with the stock springs too, I dont know, but it hadnt happened to me before, anyways. Probably best practice here anyways is to be cautious and dont manually set Z downwards close to zero unless youre in the home position (not directly over the print bed itself). * The extruder uses a larger fitting for the Bowden tube than the fitting that came with the stock extruder. The replacement extruders coupling actually looks to be the same size as the hotends tube coupling instead, which actually is kind of nice, I think. * The extruder doesnt come with a cable clip (unlike the stock plastic extruder). You can just ziptie the power cable to the extra bit of screw from the extruders spring holder screw that sticks out , though.

> 3 dayOnce completely installed, the wheels rub.. so I am going to print a spacer or something to make them work. Just wish I had known a head of time.

Greater than one weekThe plastic extruder that was included with my machine was wearing down within the first few weeks. This is one of my first upgrade it was incredibly helpful. Note: this set did not include the yellow springs

> 3 dayYou wont really know why this is such a great update until you install it all the items. Definitely worth the purchase and if you have an Ender3 v2, YES, Buy this upgrade! Feeding filament into the boden tube through the extruder is much easier as well.

Greater than one weekAwesome addition. I bought mostly for the tighter springs, but when i went to replace the extruder covers i noticed that the plastic pieces i was replacing were cracked and about to break! highly recommend these parts. note: you will have to move your Z-stop up a bit due to the change in springs and wheels.

07-06-2025a must purchase upgrade. Takes away some problems and hassles. Makes level the bed easier and not having to level the bed before each print.

Greater than one weekI recently ordered a Creality Ender 3 v2 as my first venture into the 3D printing world. A friend of mine recently did the same and recommended upgrading a few things right out of the gate. He recommended better bed springs and possibly a better extruder. I ordered this kit which included both of those items. I immediately installed them during the initial build of the printer when it arrived. Because I installed them straight away I have nothing to compare them to so I don’t have a judge of how much better they are than the factory ones. What I do know it the bed levels fairly easily and seems to maintain throughout the print. I usually always re-level the bed before each print as I take the build plate of each time when removing the builds. I can say my friend has had his Ender 3 v2 for about a month and his plastic extruder has already cracked. I guess the extruder upgrade such as the one included in this kit is worth it to avoid the headache.

> 3 dayThis “upgrade” came up as being a deal and discounted when I purchased my Ender 3 V2. First off the springs included with this kit are too long. It makes the bed too high. The extruded upgrade was well made but never seemed to do anything better than the original and in fact never worked quite right on my printer. The only thing I really used in this kit was the metal leveling knobs. That’s the only reason I’m giving this 2 stars. The rest was just a waste of money for me.
