> 3 dayAfter reading tons of reviews I picked this one to help seal a window - best choice ever! Originally bought this to install a portable AC in a basement casement window. The venting tube on the AC was too thick to even feed out the window, so we ended up removing the casement and just leaving the window screen on. Now that being said, this product is AMAZING. I installed it with the help of my sister and it took minutes to install. We added some weatherproof tape all around it to really seal it, but when you put your hand to it you don’t feel any heat coming in. Pro’s: - easy to install - actually seals the window, no air can be felt coming in thru it Con: - this thing is huge! Order the smaller size. According to measurements I needed the larger size, but bought both out of paranoia. The small one is so big there was plenty of extra fabric we stuffed in the window - not the prettiest thing ever - but hey I’m not hot so who cares!

> 3 dayThis window seal is perfect for installing a portable AC in a crank out window. The manufacturer has some videos posted here in the questions section and on you tube to guide you step by step. Skip the printed instructions and go straight to the video. Youll have your portable AC set up and running in less than 10 minutes. The material seems very durable and provides a near air-tight seal. At the end of the season, well take it down, fold it up and store it on a shelf in the closet. For under $20, you cant beat it.

> 3 dayFor several years I struggled with the problem of effectively sealing my double French window in order to vent my portable AC. Best I could do was cut to fit and wrestle into place a gi-normous piece of cardboard cut from a shipping box to cover the full window frame. Blocked the light, less than airtight, and really, really Ugly. This is a simple, low tech solution. The double-access zipper tags (intended for 2-hose ACs), allow for a hand to reach out to adjust and reposition the (single) vent hoses snout when necessary while maintaining a grip on the hose. While not exactly an aesthetic ideal, the strip of white fabric is far more discreet than cardboard, only one side of the window is open, just enough to accommodate the width of the hose. The curtains remain in place, I have daylight, and the street view is barely noticeable. And, yes(!), the AC cools efficiently. Because it had to line the top of the one open side of the window as well as the vertical gap between the two, it took nearly the whole length of the fabric, with only inches to spare. I am in a drought area, so had only one wind/rain event in several months, but it held up to it. Once the weather cooled and the AC stored, I had to also remove the hook strip of the velcro to be able to close the window normally. It lost most of its sticky, so may have to buy/cut some new next time.

> 3 dayI think this is a very useful and innovative product. My husband was confused on how to install it at first but the videos were super helpful for him and he installed successfully. It works great to keep the heat out while using an odd shaped window for an air conditioner

> 3 dayFor years I have suffered in a hot bedroom because I couldnt find a way to vent a portable AC unit out of my Awning style windows. But now that I discovered Hoomee window kit, I have an AC unit in my bedroom and Im sleeping like its a cool fall evening even during the height of the summer heat! It took me less than 30 minutes to install and came with everything you need to get the job done. Its only been one season so I cant speak to its durability, but the zippers are quality. The material seems strong and the velcro is serious. Thank you for this wonderful product!

> 3 dayWorks great on our windows that crank outward. Customer service was awesome. Directions weren’t very helpful so install was slightly challenging. That being said install was easy in since that your just sticking up Velcro strip and attaching material to fabric. For sure was a game changer for the cooling ability of our portable a/c unit. Very pleased with the quality and durability of this product. Thankful to have something that works on windows that aren’t the standard type of window.

Greater than one weekInstalled it during a heatwave and was hopeful that it would work. Unfortunately the seal is not airtight (not surprising as velcro is not airtight.) Our building is designed so that when the windows open the air pressure causes air to rush in, so perhaps that makes it worse. We taped up the entire thing (on both sides of the seal) with vent tape (like metallic duct tape) and that made a huge difference.
