> 3 dayI was really glad to find a way to connect a portable air conditioner to my window. I have very tall windows that open from the bottom out, so this was the only option I saw, but it works. The instructions are garbage. They’re confusing and only instruct you on one type of window, opens inward from the side. I found the instructional video and could piece together what I needed to do and change it to fit my needs, but it took several views and at some points I had to go back and forth between the video, written instructions, the pieces in my hand, and the window and frame in front of me to be able to figure out what I needed to do. Once I figured it out it was easy, if a bit tedious and clumsy. Better instructions and more window types included would be nice. The wind sometimes blows into the trapped plastic area, and the street noise isn’t blocked at all, but when the air conditioner is on none of that matters. It keeps me cool and that’s what I was after. Like I said in the beginning, I was just happy to find a way to attach my air conditioner to my window.

> 3 dayI ordered this for the bedroom above the garage that is always hot during the summer. I had a portable unit from my daughters college days but thought it would be impossible to use because I have casement windows. I had been looking at other ventless AC units on Amazon when I came upon this window seal solution. It works great! I got it in the mail on Saturday and installed it on Sunday. Easy install. 10 to 15 minutes max. Got an email message from the supplier HOOMEE asking if I needed help installing it, but I had already done it before I got the message and the link to an instruction video. The printed directions that came with the seal were very self explanatory, but it did help to see the photos other reviews had posted to see it on the window. My only issue was of my own making. I did not contact HOOMEE before I ordered a size to see how exactly to determine the size you needed. I just based it on a review I saw and looked at their window size. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. A inexpensive and quick fix to use a portable AC unit with casement windows. Would recommend it without hesitation. My window still closes properly with the window seal installed and it hold my exhaust tube properly when in use or not in use. It comes with ties to attach the hose to the zippers of the seal to make sure it all stays together and secure. Best $ I think I have ever spent to make my home more comfortable for guests using that bedroom.

> 3 dayCant really goof it up. If youve sewn material it helps understand how the fabric flows. You can reposition if needed. The video sold this for me and the instructions are worth reading several times. My window has the crank on the frame which is different. Good thing the instructions that I followed mentioned outside opening windows and I figured out to put the sticky velcro tape on the narrow perpendicular frame along with putting it on the window frame. Is working great and really a godsend. We needed this in an exercise room in this awful heat when our air conditioner went out (for good) so we bought a mobile air conditioner. We will closing it often after using the room and it will allow the hose to pull out and close the window easily with the zipper. I dont know how it could be designed better unless an accordion type rigid custom thing was made for your window. And then more security issues. So we love it!

> 3 dayI think this is a very useful and innovative product. My husband was confused on how to install it at first but the videos were super helpful for him and he installed successfully. It works great to keep the heat out while using an odd shaped window for an air conditioner

> 3 dayOk, yes it took me over an hour to install and I’m glad I didn’t rush it, turned out perfect. I have a portable a/c in the living room of our condo but was never able to use it in the bedroom do to the window being outward facing, no way to vent the hot air out and close off the rest of the window. Just bought a dual hose a/c from the neighbor who is moving (75 bucks, nice!) and found this kit on amazon. It actually installs, functions and finishes better than the description and pictures. Cold enough to need an extra blanket in July, love it. Now I’m on a hunt to find another deal on a dual hose a/c to replace our single hose a/c in the living room. Absolutely no comparison no matter what btu rating the single hose unit is, mine is 14000. Never buy a single hose a/c!

> 3 dayI installed this product on my apartment living room door it works and it is a good fit for the door I recommend it but the only comment I have is where the hose of the AC goes it should have a better design to not make any hot air scape from there.

> 3 dayI like that it was easy to put up, however, I would of prefer d a metal insert as I am 81 and it would have been easier for me, my grand son ordered this for me, it works is all I care.

> 3 dayeasy part was the tape stuck around the patio door frame then the difficulty came with placing the Velcro evenly on it I double up extra fabric in left corner and bottom wrong move it was to tight then I put the hose through cut it on all my efforts came down had to retape so barely press the Velcro down on the tape next I put the hose through the zipper which was extremely hard because it doesnt not close around and the zip ties good luck fortunately after some hours eureka it was done not perfect but doable

> 3 dayThis is a great idea with an interesting implementation, and with a few minor alterations to the design it would be perfect. As it is, it does a great job. First, the Velcro sides should be flipped. They send a roll of prickly side for the sticker for your window and have the soft side sewn in. While trying to run your finger over the Velcro you stick on your window frame, it is going to hurt, but if they made the soft side the side that was stuck on the window, there wouldn’t be that problem. Second, the ordering instructions say to order the closest rounded number to your window perimeter, but that will leave a small crack if your window is slightly larger than the size, so if your window perimeter is over 400cm, get the 500cm. As it sits, the edge that follows along the physical window has spots that bunch up. Which leads me to my last complaint, 100cm is WAY too big for that to be the size difference options. I needed a 425 or 450, as my window perimeter was 416cm, but getting the 500cm would have been crazy. But now I have a small section of my casement that leaks the hot air back in. I will have to make a small two sided strip to fit the difference. Over all though, this is a great solution to this problem. My summer will be nice and cool because of this product!
