Greater than one weekProduct works as expected. I have a vertical window that cranks outward w a lever window latch/lock. The Velcro was easy to install and clip/work around window hardware. Velcro is sturdy and holds in place really well. For my style of window there is too much fabric to close the window and latch it closed 100% so I take the insert down each night and put it back up in about 15 seconds each morning. The double zipper is nice but seem extra at least for my style AC unit. Would buy again for a quick and inexpensive solution for portable ACs

Greater than one weekIve been trying to install my portable AC into a casement window for a week now. I have an outward-opening casement which opens vertically from the bottom. Before this, I tried a bunch of stuff to seal the window kit provided with my AC. Even after getting a sheet of plexiglass cut for the window, my AC still was leaking too much heat back into the room, and the plastic from the window installation kit even warped itself. This was my last hope... and luckily it worked like a charm! Im pretty sure I even accidentally ordered one slightly too large for my window, but it still fits and works fine after rolling up some excess material. Installation was super easy albeit a little tedious -- the instructions were kind of bad and the video instructions online were very poorly shot (theres an animated video and a real-life demo, both of which not super helpful), but it was pretty much just a matter of cutting two sets of 4 velcro strips - one set for the casement, and one set for the window frame. Then you velcro the seal, but annoyingly you have to pick a specific side to velcro to the casement vs the window frame, and the only way to tell which side is to follow the edge all the way until it tapers off at the end. It would be really nice if they would color the velcro on one side in order to tell that its the wide side vs the narrow side. I mentioned that I got one which is slightly too big for my window - I rolled up the extra material in the area where I wasnt able to finish getting a velcro seal, and taped it up with some painters tape. They say to use elastic for this purpose, but didnt provide any. Its not perfectly sealed in that area, and I expect I might need to do a better job of rolling it up if theres another big heat wave in the area. Installing with two hoses is just as easy as installing with one -- its just an extra zipper in the seal. I pointed them both downwards. After turning on the AC, there is very little heat being leaked back into the room, which is perfect! Like I mentioned, this is so far the only solution that has worked for my casement window. The material is high enough quality that I dont expect it to degrade significantly in the near future, the zippers move pretty easily around the seal, and overall Im pretty happy with it.

> 3 dayOk, yes it took me over an hour to install and I’m glad I didn’t rush it, turned out perfect. I have a portable a/c in the living room of our condo but was never able to use it in the bedroom do to the window being outward facing, no way to vent the hot air out and close off the rest of the window. Just bought a dual hose a/c from the neighbor who is moving (75 bucks, nice!) and found this kit on amazon. It actually installs, functions and finishes better than the description and pictures. Cold enough to need an extra blanket in July, love it. Now I’m on a hunt to find another deal on a dual hose a/c to replace our single hose a/c in the living room. Absolutely no comparison no matter what btu rating the single hose unit is, mine is 14000. Never buy a single hose a/c!

> 3 dayI bought a window version of this and it works well. The only thing I didn’t know was that the joint of the window let’s in hot air. I adhered a piece of foam to solve this. I recommend buying a little longer than you need to cover all of the window. Another drawback was that the fabric has corners for the corners of the window. I had to work with the angles since they weren’t right for my window. Not perfect but worth the money. After buying and having success with the window version I bought the sliding door version. I finished setting it up before this review. I’m confident it will keep the air out. I have a few more issues with this one. First, there’s only one zipper in the middle (where you walk through). So either you have the zipper at the top or bottom of the door frame. This was inconvenient because I wanted the exhaust opening on the side where it would be out of the way. This put the zipper at the top which I know my roommate can’t reach (I’m 6’,3”) and where I could barely reach the zipper. This led me to flipping the thing over, so the zipper is at the bottom and accessible to my roommate and guests. Kind of inconvenient to have to squat to open the zipper. I would prefer a different mechinism for this (I saw a magnetic one that seems better). The last flaw imo was that the opening to step out is TIGHT. I have to pull up the Velcro from the bottom to make it wide enough to walk through. This could be solved by removing the velcro on the a portion of the bottom, but then I feel it would not be as air tight. Maybe the designer should make the bottom magnetic as well in order to eliminate the whole squatting process. The reason I say this is because I keep my pregnant friend in mind who struggles to squat down. Lastly, it was kind of a bummer that there was absolutely no extra velcro for this product. This leaves ZERO room for errror. Luckily I had extra Velcro to finish the product. I highly recommend the manufacturer include an extra 6 inches at the least. Overall, these products serve their purpose, which is better than them not. The downfall is that the window version doesn’t take into conservation the joint gap. The sliding door version stifles the ease of accessibility of accessing the back patio/balcony.

> 3 dayIm happy with buying it. The window in one room of our house can not install window AC. We think to change the window. But this is too expensive.I came to my friends house, and I saw she bought a portable air conditioner. It looked very nice and I made up my mind to buy one too. It can good fit our window. Our new portable AC came quickly, but to my disappointment, the panel kits cannot work well for our window. Hot air would come back inside the room, making the bedroom uncomfortably hot and humid. Personally speaking, I dont feel too much the temperature dropped. I bought this window seal. It seems to be high quality but helped immensely, it keeps the windows completely closed throughout my bedroom. I can sleep so much better from then on. Its as our expectations in mind and we have been totally satisfied. By the way, if you are an extreme environmentalist like me, you would find it is a good choice to save the energy. Very creative product.

> 3 dayI have regular, sliding windows. But the windows are tall. The window kit that came with my portable Frigidaire a/c wasnt tall enough to cover the entire window opening. After looking and looking, I nearly gave up and was about to spend hundreds of dollars to ask a professional to come solve this for me. And then I found this product. Decided to try it given the 5-star reviews and low price, and voila! It worked better than the standard window kit. Its now been a week, and my a/c is working exceptionally well. The cloth is plastic, and is air-tight. Fits nearly any kind of window. Buy this before you lose hope on how to install your window kit for your a/c. Installation time for me took a little longer than most (~30 mins), since the shape of this is not a rectangle, but my window opening was (regular sliding window). I just let the cloth hang a bit where there was extra. Worked out fine and the seal is still holding. Would HIGHLY reocmmend

> 3 dayI had resigned myself to getting a swamp cooler for my room as I have a very old window (think 1920s built house), which opens in a way that looks near impossible to fit any kind A/C unit there. However, searching the internet, I saw this neat window seal and it saved me from the 90 degree weather we get in Southern California on occasion. Its really such a life saver. As for application, its a bit daunting, and I wish there were multiple manuals, video or otherwise, available for the different window types, but its easy enough with some messing around. My advice would be to make sure that youre able to fit the velcro strips in a way that will enable you to close your window still in case, since not all nights will be scorching. That and order the correct size, as I failed to do so on the first trial. Great customer service, and again, I really appreciate this product.

> 3 dayI have an outward opening window. It is old and was not properly painted when it was installed. I had to adjust how I attached the Velcro to the frame due to the paint issues and all the crazy little trim accents that arent wide enough for the Velcro. But, it has worked great. There have been several bad rainstorms and only a tiny little bit of water has made it in. And that water stayed in the window opening. I did not close the window for any of the storms. Im impressed with the ease of installation and quality so far. Ive had it installed for 3 weeks now.

07-06-2025I had bought an adapter for my sliding door but the hole for the “tube” was the wrong size so that didn’t work I didn’t want to go get a piece of plexiglass cut that I would then need to install another piece on for my “tube”. I live in a small apartment so even if either of these options had worked out I have limited storage. This will be easy to store and does the job. Some things that weren’t so bad but could be improved: -The instructions could be more specific. -Maybe include a piece of foam insulation for the part of the window where it cranks out from. maybe it will be a little more of a complete kit. -Where the fabric “curves” didn’t match up to my window even though it was the correct size fabric according to the window measurement. (It still worked though) The good: Looks clean when installed Doesn’t take up storage space Simple Effective

> 3 dayThe velcro will leave a residue that is very difficult to remove. The screen does not keep temperature well and it gets very bright/hot when the sun hits it.
