> 3 dayWe went through and replaced every outlet in our house with these because we have twin two-year-old boys and the traditional outlet protectors were just getting pulled out and lost. I cant believe these have so many positive reviews. While they do look nice and keep my childrens fingers out of the outlets, the spring mechanism is too strong and pushes things out of the outlet when they are plugged in. Half of my outlets wont hold a cord anymore bc the trap door pushes on the prongs so much that they fall out. I will now have to go through and replace all the outlets again. So frustrating. I do not recommend.

> 3 dayThese are great if you want to change your outlet color without doing electrical work. Could be great for renters too. Other reviewers said they had a problem with their plugs not staying in. I only had that issue with one cover out of the entire set. Instead of returning the covers, I moved the faulty cover to an outlet I never use. Problem solved, but the inconsistent quality is why I removed a star from my rating.

> 3 dayThese are the best way to baby proof an outlet. I wouldnt buy anything else, they are so easy to use, nothing to pull out of the outlet just use the plug in your hand to slide the shield to the side and slide the plug in with one motion. Automatically closes behind you when you pull a plug out so even if something is plugged in and a child gets a hold of the cord it will be safe as soon as the cord is tugged out. I used these for my done and 10 years later Ive purchased then again for my daughter they are still the best product on the market.

> 3 dayLove these, theyre so genius. Been using them for weeks already and have had no issues with them melting or catching fire so idk what the issue was with that other review. If your outlets are working properly you shouldnt have any issues lol My toddlers monitor plug is sideways and I COULD NOT find a box outlet protector big enough to go over it so I was very happy to find these. Theyre a little thicker than the standard outlet covers but they look great and work perfectly for us. Yeah it doesnt prevent him from unplugging things but at least he cant plug it back in and get shocked. Already bought 2 packs of 6 and planning to buy a couple more packs once my daughter starts to get mobile.

> 3 dayThese look nice, and they’re safe if you have a little one, but functionality is poor because of you have to use the outlet, the cover is too thick for the plug to stay connected. Plugs fall out of the socket since they’re not secured all the way in; the covers make that impossible.

> 3 dayDONT BUY. Doesn’t matter what is plugged in it doesn’t stay in. Could be a fire hazard as if the prongs don’t make complete contact it can ark and cause a short. I would be returning these if I could.

Greater than one weekGot these for my nursery, installed them while very pregnant, it’s pretty much “idiot proof”. Plugging things in is pretty easy, just gotta make sure to work with the sliding pieces.

> 3 dayProduct does wonders it looks so much nicer then traditional outlet covers and there is no prying to get it off or losing covers which become choke hazards or get stepped on. My son takes out a nightlight and it closes automatically keeping him from accessing the outlet and getting hurt. Took a star due to one small problem. Since installing my vacuum cord and other appliances doesnt stay in well it easily pulls out with the slightest pull. Feels like it prevents prongs from really clicking into outlet most likely due to the faceplate of product interfering with the depth of the prongs in outlet. I wish it either had a snugger fit to prevent this or we could have just sliding covers that went over the original outlet vs the outlet face that is in between the cord and actual outlet.

> 3 dayThey look great and keep my baby safe but when I actually want to plug something in (vacuum for example) it falls out of the socket so easily.
