I use these all throughout the house in places that the baby can reach and where we don’t have anything plugged in all the time. I have had something plugged in them all the time and it does heat up and it could have melted the cover (like other reviewers mention). Therefore, I only use these on UNUSED outlets. Otherwise, you can buy the Universal Power Outlet Cover Box that covers the plugged item. I also buy OutSmart Outlet Shields for unused outlets in baby’s bedroom and playroom area.

I wish I knew about these before I bought the plugs. My baby can pull those plugs out. They just call her attention.

I really like that if my toddler pulls out something that is already plugged in, there wont be an exposed Outlet to easily stick something in (apparently, I almost fried myself as a little kid before my Mom caught me in the nick of time lol yikes!) Going to replace more outlets with this style.

Easy to install, look great, so much better and safer than the little plugs to pull out and try to not lose to put back in! I am buying more for the rest of the house where I need to sometimes access an outlet (like to vacuum) but my granddaughter needs to be safe too when she comes over. My house will be safe for visits but convenient when she is not here.

We love these outlet covers for use instead of outlet plugs for regularly used outlets. We use them for plugging in lights and other appliances and have them on all outlets we plug our vacuum into. It is a lot easier to use these than the safety outlet plugs. We dont have to remember to put the outlet plugs back in after vaccumming and for outlets we have lights plugged into we no longer have to worry if our toddler unplugs the lamp as we know he cant replug in the lamp and potentially electrocute himself. Highly recommend. We only bought enough of these to use on regular use outlets and use the safety plugs for all outlets we dont typically use.

These are great if you want to change your outlet color without doing electrical work. Could be great for renters too. Other reviewers said they had a problem with their plugs not staying in. I only had that issue with one cover out of the entire set. Instead of returning the covers, I moved the faulty cover to an outlet I never use. Problem solved, but the inconsistent quality is why I removed a star from my rating.

LOVE! They were so easy to install and gave a complete new look to the yellow covers. So glad I didn’t have to figure out how to replace the yellow plug as this just is a cover. The only thing I will note - I would give it a 3/5 for childproof. My 4 years old thought it was fun to play with (sliding it open and watching it shut). I think it at least is some kind of block for my younger kids, but it isn’t locked so it isn’t really childproof.

These are a very well built quality product. They are not thin and cheaply built. They installed quite easily and quickly with the supplied screws and are super simple to use. I tried those cheap plastic things that just plug into the hole, but I dont have a good grip in my fingers and required a screw driver to pry them out whenever I went to plug something in. These are wonderfully simple to use. Use the plug end to slide the cover to the right and push the plug into place. Done. It automatically closes when the plug is removed. Perfect. It didnt hurt that they were white and I have white walls. I am going to need more of these.

This is an amazing product I would recommend to everyone I get plugs might be the easier install but this far and away is a great product for a good price that ensures safety for baby

I like these outlet covers except for how far they sit off the wall. The prongs of a plug won’t always reach as far as expected into the outlet. One of my lamp’s plug won’t go far enough in and so I can’t use it in the outlet anymore. But they keep my LO from sticking fingers etc into the outlet so I can deal.
