> 24 hourThe product is great. I purchased this to repair/restore a sentimental lamp for my wife. After a trip to a local Home Depot, I learned they did not carry the size tap & die I needed for the project. This set had everything I needed plus more for future work. The lamp is now repaired & my wife is happy. The craftsmanship of the tools was top notch. They even sent a nice carabiner with the kit. I am a satisfied customer.

> 24 hourBroke a die on first use, even with cutting oil. Die wrench broke too, cheap material.

> 24 hourThe Tap holder would not securely hold Taps less than size Metric M 8, and SAE 10. The cut and finish of the Dyes and Taps is very good. The quality is somewhat less than the very best dyes available and very much better than the cheap ones. I have not used them on hard Metals yet, but they performed very well on cast aluminum.

> 24 hourI cross threaded one of the 1/4 inch lead/stainless hurricane shutter mounts in my cement block wall (here in Florida) and it would be a mess to pull it out and try to replace it. I was able to use the 1/4 inch tap to repair the threads and make the existing mount usable. The tap was able to cut metal on what I think is stainless steel in the mount. This was worth most of the cost of this set. As others have noted, the tools that go with this kit are 3rd world quality but the taps and dies themselves seem to be ok. This is a great kit for the homeowner but probably not for industrial use. Due to close quarters, I had to hold the tap with a pair of pliers to do the work, as there was no suitable tool to hold it supplied. As others have noted, after spending some quality time re-arranging all the tools in the case, I took the suggestion to add a piece of cardboard to the inside so that the tools would not bounce out of place anymore.

> 24 hourThe taps seem to be made from high grade metal and work fine. The problem I have is with the design and manufacturing of the handles, they dont hold the taps tight. I dont beleave the way theyre made is as good as it could be for very little cost difference. If you dont expect much you might not be disappointed.

> 24 hourThis set is a very good deal for the price. This is my first tap and die set, so I cant really speak to the quality of the cutting tools compared to a $100+ set. The set is impressively comprehensive for something at this price range...the best I found on Amazon. The cutting tools that I ended up using worked fine, although I was cutting aluminum so not maybe the hardest test. The tap and die wrenches themselves are not as well made. The tap wrench had trouble holding on to the tap no matter how hard I tightened it. This was more of an issue when backing the tap out and putting pressure underneath it to keep the tap from cross threading. While driving it in it wasnt much of an issue, and I was still able to get the job done in the end. My thread gauges were a bit disappointing, mostly because the rivets on the gauges are tight enough that it is hard to pull them out for use. I appreciated that the set really did include everything you need, and that it had both metric and SAE. In the end, its hard to beat this deal for the price.

> 24 hourInitial quality looks great. Tapped a 7/16 x 14 hole with no problems. Only time will tell the longevity but for home use its a great product, price and quality. Packing is excellent.

> 24 hourThe taps and dies cover most of the sizes you would come across as a do it yourselfer. Built well, good materials. If you are looking for a generic Tap and die set this one is a good place to start.
