I got the more expensive one with the coating on the tools and it works wonders! Based on all the reviews I’ve seen the base kit sucks, you want to spend the extra money on the coating if you go with this kit. I love it!

I used this to rethread a stripped steel bicycle crank shaft, the first time I have ever used a tap set. The results were perfect, saved me money and gave me great satisfaction in repairing something rather than throwing it away. This is a high-quality tool set.

I have used a few pieces of this kit now, with great results. The handles could be a bit tighter, but that is my only complaint about quality.

I have needed a tap and die set for years. I have purchased an odd tap or die over the years but decided since I retired I’ve been putting together a shop for repairs and fabricating. This set will be very handy having both SAE and Metric. I haven’t used it yet but looking forward to doing some work on taping steel for bolts in added items for a trailer. It would have been nice to have a label on the outside of the very nice case but a Sharpie will fix that.

Ive had a collection of different dies and taps kicking around my shop, but seems I never could find the right size or thread when I needed it. Decided to invest a little money in what seems to be a pretty complete kit. Well have to see how they work and last. The one thing I did almost immediately is I glued the form insert that comes with it onto the top cover. This prevents all the components from falling out of their respective slots which I found out the hard way happens if you dont put the form back when you fold it up.

Very easy to use in the numerous jobs i had on my car. Making a snug home for all new bolts was easy. Great product.

Cardboard box was not damaged and the air-bubble padding inside were fine upon delivery. So, this case and product was damaged when they put it in the box.

as I said, they sent 2 M5 x 0.8 collets and no M8 x 1.25. Also there is no M10x1.25 tap, just a M10x1.0 and M10x1.5 (as written on the box, so not a mistake, just the way it was) otherwise the tools seem to work ok.

Im not a professional, just used occasionally and so far it didnt fail me. Have no instructions but YouTube helps with that. Keep the foam and plastic cover inside and wall will be organized.

DONT have what you need I finally used the toolset. When I opened it I thought it was missing parts. But its not. This toolset they will provide you with all the pieces that are not widely used. I couldnt find 8M 1.0 cut and many others were missing also.
