I set the unit on smart mode and my Xfinity DVR is now running a ton cooler than it did before. Smart mode controls the speed of the fan and the speed varies with the temperature. After a few hours the unit runs at low speed most of the time and it is so quiet that I cannot hear it running! Great product and very well built.

works great , I used to have to cool my amp down during loud parties, not anymore. My amp has 4 zones so quad amps in it. it would get very hot and go into safety thermal protection all the time especially when playing hard and loud. Now with this cooler I can go all night and no issues. I wish it vented forward not up bu ohh well , I just placed some pc fans facing out on top of it and it keeps it even cooler in my cabinet.

this unit is very well built, almost invisible and disappears in the entertainment center doing its job, the manual is well written explaining how to setup, I put it in smart mode. I am using in pioneer elite SC95 AVR, fan is running in quiet mode every once in a while, nothing loud. I think even if it is running full speed it would be hard to hear with all the sound from speakers. great product.

My Marantz receiver was becoming hot to the touch. I purchased the smallest rear firing unit and it works perfectly to keep the temp down. I have it set to auto and it stays on the lowest setting and I dont even hear it. It is small unobtrusive and the lights arent bothersome to me. Couldnt ask for more.

This product is very quiet. I purchased when previously for my computer, and purchased a second for my audio video receiver. I like how its programmable and it starts by itself and even selects the speed of the fans depending on the temperature

This fan unit works great. Receiver completely cool to the touch. Use the 3rd setting. Cant hear it running. Works very well at that setting.

I had a Denon AV receiver go down on me. :-( Started randomly crackling and popping on me. I was always surprised by how much heat it put off, which would build up in my TV cabinet, and sorta concerned me, but never enough to do anything about it - until it flaked out. I went back to using an older Denon unit, and bought this to stick on top of it, to cool the unit and the cabinet, and it seems to be doing a great job. I never hear it, and when I check (by touch) the temp of the top of the receiver, its always MUCH cooler than the old unit used to be. Didnt even know such a product as this existed, but Im glad I got it and happy with it thus far... I hope it helps me get a lot more life out of my home theater receiver than I might have gotten otherwise with my (apparently) poorly ventilated setup.

This works exactly as advertised. It keeps myvideo amp cool. Like the auto temp setting and it does it job without any attention on my part. Sound level is quiet enough that I cannot hear it even at low volume settings.

My DVR kept resetting once it got warm. This is a well packaged and built device. Looks good and works even better. Automatically adjusts the fans and is quiet. My DVR no longer resets and the picture is better.
