This screen is not a touch screen and doesnt have a back light as described. Falsely advertised. Should be reported to Amazon!!!! I called Acer the functions do not exist on the laptop they sent me! Buyer beware, the photo in not the laptop youll get. Buy with caution!

pros its fast very fast, easy to set up although i dont like win 11, great value, great battery life and easy to upgrade the tiny drive

i bought this laptop thinking it would be perfect. i looked at a lot of other models and this one seemed the best and it was cheap. i found out first hand why that is when it arrived. first of all please avoid this laptop at all costs. it looks like a great cheap laptop. its defective from the factory. please research this for yourself. it ships with a firmware that will prevent the battery from charging. that’s right. from the factory it will brick itself and not charge. if your install takes too long or if you buy it and you don’t have over 40% battery charge to install the newest bios from acer, which voids your windows home s right off the bat, you are stuck with a brick. there’s no way to charge the battery. i got to go through the forced microsoft startup experience which took about 30 minutes to complete due to the computer deciding to get online and completely update windows with no way to bypass it first thing and then i wondered why it wasn’t charging. i found out at 15% battery remaining that it was a critical bios issue but if it dropped below 40% i would no longer be able to charge it. and that’s what happened. as i frantically sat with my brand new computer i tried to force the bios update, the machine hit 10% battery life, auto power saving hibernation mode instantly, i tried to reboot into windows and it’s bricked with a red battery logo now.

I got this laptop for light use in the office in our meeting room. Everyone has had no issues using it and it does everything we need for meeting purposes. Its fast and light weight so its great!

This computer is excellent for what I use it for. I needed an extra computer to keep my business files separate works great no problems

Terrific display, sensitive touch pad and keyboard. More ports than you would expect. Comes with 8 GB memory and 128 KB Nve solid state drive. The small drive size is a result of the price point of this laptop. However the laptop comes with some screws and a cable to install a second sata drive in an existing bay inside the laptop. Instructions for installing are on line, and are pretty easy. Remove several screws holding the bottom cover. Pry off cover, disconnect the battery cable, connect provided cable to hard drive, install sata drive with provided screws, connect other end of cable to connector on computer board. Reconnect battery Icable. Result for an extra $40.00, now have a 500GB internal Sata drive in addition to the 128 GB boot drive. I was a little concerned about the i3 processor having adequate power, however the machine boots up quickly, browsing fine with many tabs opened, so more than adequate for what I use it for. I dont do gaming. Also computer comes in its ow n box which is then put in a separate shipping box. Prime shipping in 2 days. Not a mark or ding even on the shipping box!

I really like this compact, fast, efficient laptop for browsing and other work.

Good quality computer for the price. Just be aware that the operating system is a Windows S. This feature will not allow you to install any third party apps such as Chrome, Steam etc. Easy enough to turn off.

So we just got this laptop a couple days ago, and Ill update things as they go along. Firstly its a pretty decent laptop for the money, trying to read reviews on it is a pretty mixed basket because they have so many other cheap/er laptops that most of the reviews are not for this one. So youll have to pay attention to the model number they are reviewing. (Acer Aspire 5 A515-56-702V)
