Aftershokz Aeropex Mini (Rebranded as Shokz OpenRun Mini) Bone Conduction Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

I use CIC hearing aids. If I use over the ear/on the ear headphones or headsets, my hearing aids feed back. And, after all day on back to back calls, my ears hurt from the headset pressure.

These headphones are comfortable and sound great. They are not noise canceling in the typical way but with the supplied ear plugs they are superior to traditional noise canceling headphones for yard work and the such. The only downside would be the beeping level when typing or when the Bluetooth signal distance is exceed.

These headphones are great until they arent. They are the best pair Ive ever owned in terms of sound quality and they do what they say they do. My main gripe is that in less than a year, Ive gone through two pairs. They just brick randomly a few months in. Aftershokz did replace my first pair for free, as the warranty allows for, which is nice, and Im in communication with them now for a 2nd pair. But considering how much these headphones cost, they should last way longer, hence only 3 stars from me.

I have been a tinnitus sufferer for some time now, which for me, means a high-pitched ringing, primarily in my left ear, as a 24/7/365 constant. For those that dont know the joys of T, while Ive given up describing it to non-sufferers, I suppose Id simply sum it up by noting that I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Its inescapable.

These earphones are the best I have owned so far. My best feature is they allow me to remain in sync with my environment at all times. They are also good for teleconferencing even in noisy areas

Comfort, fit, and best sound quality of the bone-conduction variety. Still, both of our Aftershokz headphones have failed in 1-2 years. My wife has the Aeropex (the model reviewed here), and it recently failed and started rattling internally after a few years of gentle use. I had the Air, and have had 2 failures in less than 2 years where it just stopped charging and powering on. So like the headline - these are great, until they fail. Aftershokz does have a decent warranty on paper but it was a huge hassle to get mine warrantied because after submitting the claim I never heard back for many weeks. Their listed contact information for service/warranty is no longer working or available on the Aftershokz site, and as a last-ditch effort I found a contact e-mail and managed to get my return moving again.

I purchased this April 30,21 and they are no longer working after 2 months!!! Mad as hell paid to much of money for them to stop working after 2 months…
