Ive been an 8bitdo user for quite some time and love their controllers. With the launch of the V2 controller, I purchased this to update mine. Is as comfortable as the first version, but mine arrived with a joystick drift. Update: Ive been playing with this for a week. I dont consider myself a strong person, but somehow a piece of plastic teared out of the controller as I was using it. As you can see in the image, it doesnt look like I dropped it, all the surrounding plastic is fine, it was really random. To the touch, this clear plastic does feel cheeper than the retro gray one i have, but I didnt expect it to break after a week. Im sad and disappointed.

This is super easy to pair. Have done so with switch lite, played ssb, streets of rage 4, blaze blue, no lag. Also paired with Samsung Galaxy S8 to play crazy taxi (free on sega), works great. The only regret I have is not buying two, but soon enough I shall. The material is matte finish so anti fingerprint collector, feels like a ps controller with the face buttons of snes. At least mine is. I liked the d-pad on the dmg design, but snes theme overall I like most.

this is another wonderful controller by 8bitdo. the feel is beyond wonderful, the sticks are smooth and the bottom triggers have variable strength gauges, like the old game cube controllers

Great controller. Very comfortable and the turbo can be mapped to work for the switch.

Better material, better design, more intuitive, better suited for BOTW, better construction, and compatible with anything. This controller is a masterpiece, while the pro (nintendo) controller has issues in all of the categories listed above. Most notably wobbly hand grips that are not one piece in frame but the third, and a garbage D-pad that would make Ken and Ryu go home and be a Family Man, along with clunky buttons.

For the Switch when playing solo I love using this controller instead of my Switch Pro controller(I never use Joy-cons while docked, except SM Odyssey) for games like Pokemon/DQ11 that are more menu based due to the position of the D-Pad. Other than that its an extremely well priced and solid controller if you need more for extra people with multiplayer games. It definitely has a very similar feel to the PS4 controller, but luckily far better battery life and USB-C vs Micro(one of my main gripes with the PS4 controller) On the PC it has been fantastic as well, Iove using it to play SNES games (That I do own) that have been modded with some difficulty, translation tweaks etc. But it works great for any game thanks to the software that comes with it that allows you remap buttons for using on the Switch and on PC separately, and many other options. Has worked well for any Stream game Ive tried. The fact that it doesnt have NFC doesnt bother me at all. The one game I might use the NFC often (BoTW) I prefer the Pro controller, but its not like you couldnt undock it, spam your amiibos, then go right back to using the SN30 Pro+. Would it be nice if I could turn on the Switch with the controller? Sure, but personally lifting a corner of the Switch out of the dock and back in really isnt too much a hassle. My only small issue is that the + and - (start and select) are a little out of the way. Side note about syncing, It is very important to follow the initial syncing instructions for the specific device you are syncing to (particularly being aware of the button combo that is different for every device type). Once I correctly synced the controller I have not had an issue with just pressing start to reconnect the controller. Note that you will have to resync to the Switch, after Syncing to your PC and vice versa(at least with Bluetooth) just like with the PS4 controller. The bottom line is that this controller is a fantastic Switch controller alone with the same build quality as an official Nintendo Pro Controller at a cheaper price. If you want something for Switch and PC, the value increases. If you want something for Switch, PC, Android, and Raspberry Pi...you get the point. I would also recommend watching the many youtube reviews that go into great detail about controller.

The controller was good but I had to lower the sensitivity for both of the thumb sticks down to 50% for me to be able to even use the controller so that has me scared for the longevity of the one I recieved

This is my second pro+, 3rd 8bitdo controller, first controller was the SN30 Pro, but the buttons stuck after a few weeks. I did hear its the same components in the pro + (rubber pad underneath buttons) that tends to wear out fast. Then I decided to get the pro+ after I returned the pro model. The first one I got always had slight drift, just enough to make it annoying, then the buttons started to stick, returned it. Went with the official pro switch controller, both went bad fast (thats for a different review) decided to give 8bitdo one more chance, because all you hear is good things! Ordered this one, didnt get the bag though. Just didnt come with it. No way to request it without starting a whole return. Thats dumb. But it works still after 26 days! Hope it lasts longer because its almost past the return window now. Comfort is incredible, even if youre not a big D Pad lover (the d pad is amazing in this controller, best out of every switch controller Ive tried) the joysticks are easily reachable and comfortable. I personally havent had problems when two controllers are connected to the switch. The ultimate software is bad ass except YOU CANT ADJUST SENSITIVITY ON R & L TRIGGERS FOR THE SWITCH. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update. They are super sensitive and annoying all the time. Overall, best third party controller Ive tried for the switch, especially if it lasts. . . and Ive tried a lot. I will update my review if it messes up in anyway and let yall know how repairing it myself goes. And still bummed I didnt get the bag with it, but the keychain is dope!

Really liked the controller. I can connect it with my laptop, PC or phone to play whenever I want. The longevity of the battery is so good, I only charge it when not using, and every 3 or 4 days. The feel is amazing, and no lag between the device and the action. I pair it with a 8Bit clip to my phone, so I can play any game.

The Pro2 from 8Bitdo is my favorite controller and I liked these color options online. IN PERSON... They aight. Very opaque. I got two of these and 2 purples. Theyre like all of 8bitdo products recently, great quality, and I love that the Pro2s also have a physical toggle switch to change input styles, no more remembering button combos. If youre looking for 90s translucent memories, these arent them.
