You can literally change button layout and sync on the fly on the app while using the controller!!! Feels amazing.

Really liked the controller. I can connect it with my laptop, PC or phone to play whenever I want. The longevity of the battery is so good, I only charge it when not using, and every 3 or 4 days. The feel is amazing, and no lag between the device and the action. I pair it with a 8Bit clip to my phone, so I can play any game.

I really wanted to love this thing! Build quality is excellent and the design is so freaking cool but if you have smaller hands, or are very used to a PS4 controller, this just simply isnt comfortable. The placement of the joysticks caused a lot of strain on my thumbs. Also felt I was reaching too far for the shoulder buttons.

Bought this to use with my RetroPie setup (and my Switch as a bonus). You need to charge the battery pack before updating the firmware (or just pop some AA batteries in). It definitely feels third-party, but its a comfortable controller to use for long periods of time. The D-pad feels nicer than the one on my Switch Pro Controller, and the joysticks are fluid. The L2/R2 buttons are mushy so the Pro controller definitely wins there, but overall its a good controller and I definitely would buy another one. Pros: - Button mapping supported (need to download the software from 8bitdos website) - Rechargeable (has a removable battery pack if youd rather use AA batteries) - Solid D-pad, smooth joysticks - Comfortable grip Cons: - Mushy L2/R2 buttons - Cant wake Switch using this controller

I was interested in this controller after hearing about it and I can definitely say it lived up to my expectations. The controller is perfect for all the ways I can play games (minus PS4) but for Switch and PC, its very good for switch games and PC/Emulators. I havent found a definitive use for the back buttons but the profile switch has been helpful for games where I can switch from Switch to Xbox Layout. The additional items were a nice addition and were for a reasonable additional 5 dollars compared to the regular MSRP of the default controller. I did receive the case but not the keychain but I didnt find any use out of that keychain since Im really a big keychain person. The case is good but could barely fit the controller and doesnt really seem to be protective compared to 8bitdos official case but rather be easier to travel due to how small and compact it is. So to summarize the controller is really good and the case does a good job for whats its worth.

This controller is almost amazing. Add amiibo support, turning on Switch. And most importantly, BETTER RUMBLE! The rumble is just horrible on the Switch.

This is the first off-brand controller Ive bought where the buttons all work in every game! Its a great value for the price and is very aesthetically pleasing; definitely more so than the official Nintendo Pro Controller. The charging is very easy with USB-C and lasts a very long time. I havent had to charge it again since I got it, and its been around 3 weeks. If youve been using the Nintendo Joycons connected together or the Nintendo Pro Controller, it takes a second to get used to the placement of the stick and the d-pad, but its not bad. I used to play a lot of Playstation, so it made sense to me. The vibration is also a little aggressive, which I like, but can be adjusted. Its also a little large for my hands, but the added compatibility with PC, Mac, and smartphones is a worth it trade off.

My husband loves this controller it is more conforable for when he is playing his switch. However the Amazon delivery service was not so great as they threw the control on my porch. I am thankful nothing is broken however still not thrilled about the handling of my package

I have paired this controller with my Mac, PC, iPad Pro, Apple TV, and a Switch. It is very high quality in material feel. It doesnt creak like my PS3 controller, so if you are worried about a cheap product, know 8BitDo is producing high-quality stuff. The software to configure the controller isnt working on my Mac, but it works on the PC. Once upgraded to the latest firmware, you just turn the controller on to pair it with whichever system you are using. Pretty simple. For Apple TV - turn it on in Mac pairing mode and it will be found quickly in the Bluetooth controller settings area. Has about 1 second of lag, but that seems to be related to that Mac pairing mode. Maybe an update will help. For iPad - use it in X-input mode unless you like laggy controls. It needs to be paired under accessibility settings. This will also make switching to Apple TV super easy.
