Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

Ive owned this case for about six months and have been happy with it! With its stiff outer shell, the case feels pretty rugged and has a heavy zipper. Ill frequently toss the case into my bag, but am never concerned about the hard drive due to the elastic straps and webbing inside the case that provide extra protection/cable storage. Overall, great case and very happy with my purchase!

Fits the My Passport 1TB and the cord perfectly, I wish the case was more than just black as I keep in my a backpack and cant find it in the dark (for obvious reasons). I feel a hot pink wouldnt sell too well so I intend to toss something on the zipper to find it easily.

See my video review for a better view. This is a terrific hard case for your external hard drive. At first, I could not believe that only six dollars could pay for quality materials, but now I am very impressed. The WD My Passport external hard drive fits perfectly in the case and the elastic band holds it in place very well. There is also some extra space for slightly larger hard drives. I also like the handy mesh pocket for your usb cable or other accessories.

They fit my Toshiba, and Passport external hard drives perfectly. I purchased 3 of them. They are sturdy, inexpensive, and do what they are supposed to do-- store and protect your HDs. I appreciate the inside pockets to fit the cables, and whatever else.

Always worried about our little 5510L getting beat up or lost due to its diminutive size. I saw this case & took a gamble it would contain the little gizmo...viola! It works perfectly! Holds a USB charging cable in the mesh pocket (no room for transformer but not a big deal for us) & secures the MiFi under the strap.

WORKS AS INTENDED

The price should have told me what to expect. It will protect an external drive from getting dirty, dust, and some amount of water. When I say some amount of water I mean it should be Ok protect against a glass of water spilling on the case, or walking from the house to the car in a drizzle. Its clearly not made to protect against immersion, or be water tight. It appears to be 2 pieces of pressed cardboard covered in fabric with a zipper. Theres lots of extra space so if the case drops anything inside will get a good jolt. There is no padding inside. I gave it 3 starts instead of 2 because its a cheap case thats made cheap.
