Amazon Basics Smart Plug Power Strip, Surge Protector with 3 Individually Controlled Outlets and 2 USB Ports, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Works with Alexa

It works well for what I wanted for.

I got this Amazon Basics Smart 3-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with 2 USB Ports to use in my home office for my laptop and two desk lights. The two USB ports are handy when I want to charge my phone, smartwatch, or other devices (without taking up the plug space). It has a long power cord (3.5 feet in length) so it is easy to route it around furniture. I absolutely love that this works with Alexa - it only took a few minutes to set up (the only lag was my phone recognizing the Bluetooth device). Ive labeled each plug in Alexa so that I can turn off the individual plug outlets when I so desire (to save energy too). I also love that the powerstrip is surge protected so I can rest assured that my electronic devices are protected. I love that there is extra space between the three outlets, so there is room for the bulkier plugs (light certain lights have). I love this so much that I have purchased another one for my kitchen.

I am using this to turn on a light when I enter my studio at night. Its so much easier than fumbling around in the dark. Super easy to set up and works flawlessly. A super convenient item.

While I couldn’t get the QR code on the user’s guide for this Amazon Basics Power Strip to work, this still took only a couple of minutes to set up. The QR code on the power strip did work, which made setting this up from within the Alexa app very easy. This is really handy for a room that I have with minimal outlets. I can now run extra lights and actually see what I’m doing in there. Even nicer, I can turn them on and off with a simple spoken command. I wish it had a longer cord, but it integrates with Alexa pretty easy and it makes turning on and off my lights with voice command easy.

We bought this to plug our Christmas tree &outdoor lights to and its been great! Easily added a routine to Alexa for it and now when we say Alexa lets get festive the tree and lights come on.

I like that I can control the power supply on the three outlets from my phone. If I’m away from home I can turn the lights on to make it seem like I’m home. Or if I forgot to turn the the lights off (I have a dimmer plugged into the outlet) and I’m already in bed, I just need to reach for my phone.

I couldnt write this review fast enough!! This power strip ended all my frustrations and woes of buying smart plugs (of the same brand) that sometimes will and other times wont, connect to my wifi! This device was immediately recognized by Alexa the minute I plugged it in. Set up is quick and easy. The power cord is very thick and sturdy and a good length as well. Each plug (3 total) operates individually so you can assign different names to each one, inside the app, to correlate with whatever device you plug in. Im using it for my Christmas lights. So, I assigned the 3 plugs to a group, set a routine, and all lights turn on and off at the times I set. Definitely worth buying for the quality, functionality, and price!!

Product is amazing. I hooked up 2 bedside lights and a small air conditioner to this item. Set up was easy , simple and way faster than ever expected. Best part is I can control all 3 items separately. Now I can walk into my bedroom and say ALEXA TURN ON LIGHT 1 and POOF!! Light comes on. Just plug three things in and name them in your Alexa app and your good to start being lazy like I am now. Its wonderful. Buying more in the future.
