> 24 hourThe 3800x is great, and really good value if you can get one for around £300. Sadly that’s based on experience of the one I purchased from another retailer. The box sent by Amazon, I realised after fitting, was a cheaper 3700x which in reality is very, very close in performance so I can’t be bothered trying to exchange it but recommend double checking the label before installation! 10/10 AMD, 3/10 Amazon.

> 24 hourProbably not worth the extra price over a 3700X but if this is what you got its a very powerful cpu. Some issues I would say are that you need to get the updated chipset drivers. Also you should get a high end cooler for this cpu because the stock cooler is loud and annoying.

> 24 hourThis was an upgrade on my Ryzen 5 2400g. And BOY was it an upgrade! XD

> 24 hourI do think this CPU is a bit overpriced, dont get me wrong, but if youre willing to spend that money for performance..? Hell yes. Upgraded from an Intel Core-i5 8600K, and the difference is astounding. Gaming, video editing, modeling, and production has never been so great for me.

> 24 hourI saved up for months to buy this to upgrade my gaming experience and received only the cooler and no processor. Returned immediately.

> 24 hourWarning: this cpu runs hot! Out of the box I was getting 40c to 50c using the stock cooler. I was concerned, but apparently the chips architecture makes it idle higher, faster than other chips. This was an upgrade from an old FX 8370 and the performance gap is unbelievable! Highly recommend, but dont panic when you monitor your temps in the bios and see it starting out at 42c.

> 24 hourWorked seamslessly with my X570 based motherboard. I did replace the stock fan as it is too noisy for my taste. The 120mm and larger fans on tower heatsink work better but of course they do not look as cool as the stock heatsink.
