AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I analyzed the price to performance and created a PC Part Picker build which could give me and idea of how well performing various builds might be, how much power they would need, and how good the various parts might be given a particular choice of processor. Truly, the processor drives the decision making since one must obtain a compatible motherboard, and then budget for the right case, power, supply and then always memory and storage.

As everybody knows the 5,000 series from AMD is the gold standard right now. I can confess after doing the install and coupling it with an efficient power supply and great cooler, its just great. I cant imagine a better processor at the moment. It ran cool and efficiently.

Great CPU, and I’m not having these serious heat issues like some people are. I did install it into a new X570 Plus WiFi with a Noctua 12a cooler. The hottest I’ve seen it go while gaming is around 72.

Runs a little hot, and I wish I could have gotten the 5900x, but over an awesome cpu. Lightning fast.
