Amazingly fast, upgrading from an older 2nd gen i7 920 is like stepping into the future. I recommend finding a MOBO that doesnt require bioflashing out of the box to run it but if you know your way around bios updating its worth the effort and money saved to go with a b550 board. Mine is running above stock clock and turbo and benching almost as high as a thread ripper in cinebench so your mileage may vary.

Inizio subito col dire che in cinebench r23 totalizza un punteggio di 14800, soli 2000 punti circa di distanza dal threadripper 1950wx (che ha il doppio dei core e dei thread). La stabilità è davvero eccezionale, venivo da un Intel i5 9600k che era discreto ma questo Amd è davvero unaltra mondo: in parole povere niente più stuttering. Unica pecca le temperature: premetto che la CPU è installata su una Asus b550 Rog Strix E aggiornata alla versione 1804, è dissipata attraverso un deepcool Castle 240 rgb V2 e il case è un Corsair icue 4000x. A fronte di questi ottimi componenti in Aida 64 il parametro CPU package arriva ad 83⁰ dopo 40 min. Un po altine ma lontani dalla temperatura limite (90⁰). Sono certo che con qualche aggiornamento futuro del BIOS limeranno un po il problema.

This is a great processor. Much of the talk of temperature concerns is misplaced. Unless youre just failing to cool it at all it will self-manage to keep from exceeding its thermal envelope. If you hit and sit at 90 degree Celsius under full load dont worry, it can handle it.

Da sempre ero per gli intel, ma vedendo in questi anni la forte ripresa di AMD mi son voluto lanciare sui nuovissimi ryzen 5000, acquisto azzeccatissimo. Il mio processore non sembrerebbe essere così caldo come lamentano alcuni, è un missile, sia in gaming che in altri applicativi, inoltre di AMD ho amato la compatibilità col tempo senza necessità di cambiare scheda madre. contrariamente alla politica di intel.
