> 3 dayThe CPU is great. All my problems came from the lack of BIOS support on my motherboard (fixed with a BIOS update) and the lack of room to work in my case. The price, as I say in the headline, was still a bit too high, but thats todays market.

> 3 dayThese new Ryzen CPUs are crazy fast destroying most everything Intel has. Using AMD GPU & Win 11 few games push my 5800X and my old I7 4Ghz 6th gen looks like a dinosaur. 2 drawbacks. Hate the pins that can easily bend. My advice is by the best board you can afford and never remove it. Dont try to change cpu cooler either as the cpu can easily be pulled from the board. Not like Intels much more secure system. Do not use stock cooler or cheap out. By a premium cooler that you never plan to remove. Trust me on this one!

> 3 dayI got this for around 200 quid for my first pc build and for what your getting I believe that is a very good price if we are talking price to performance. also for my CPU I havent touched anything in the bios apart for changing my memory speed to its advertised ranges so when I checked what speed my CPU was going 4.7ghz I was confused as I hadnt touched anything yet and the temperatures seemed relatively normal and after doing a bit of research what I have found is since I added a extra 4 pin power cable to my mother board for CPU power boost mode on the CPU was just automatically turned on if the temperatures were stable. now this leads me to one of the main reasons Im giving this CPU high praise

Greater than one weekFast AF! This thing does not disappoint. Matched it with 32gb of 3600mhz crucial ballistic RAM, and there is barely a Windows loading screen. Buyer beware: this thing runs warm, and does not come with a cooler. Recommend a quality brand 240mm AIO minimum to control the temps.

> 3 dayI bought the 5800x as an upgrade from the 3600 and frankly I’m shocked at how easy it was. Having previously owned Intel, where a cpu upgrade almost always needs a new motherboard to go with it, being able to do a straight swap is incredible.

> 3 dayit was a hard choice, i loved the speed and efficiency of the 5800x but it was hard to keep it cool so I returned it.

> 3 dayThis CPU runs very very hot but it is very fast overall. The only real downside of this CPU is the temperatures as I am currently peaking 80+ on temperatures while playing games and this is with a 260 AIO attached.

> 3 dayLike the title says. Outperforms itself, at least for me. Clocking around 4.85ghz in boost. Hugely noticable upgrade from the ryzen 2700x.
