> 3 dayUsed to build Intel based HEDTs, but switched to AMD with the 1st gen Ryzen Threadrippers. AMD changed the game and gave us more cores when Intel kept to 4 and over charged and just has been giving us the perf gains per gen that we used to expect. This is my 4th AMD build using Ryzen, I can’t justify Intel in builds given the AMD lineup. This thing is a beast, and can’t believe AMD has done a 16 core CPU that isn’t Threadripper for consumers. This thing is overkill and the price shows AMD has recognized its market position so value isn’t as great as with the 1st gen Ryzens, but more than happy to let AMD enjoy the price premium for ushering in the true high multi core count era. And finally injecting competition into the x86 market again.

> 3 dayLet me start off by saying that AMD and Intel both have there ups and downs. You cant go wrong with either brand. But you WILL need to put in a tremendous amount of work if you want the most out of AMD!

> 3 dayTypically every 4-5 years, I decide to do a new computer build - this time around, I wanted to put together an AMD Ryzen system instead of the usual Intel.

Greater than one weekFast, reliable. Nice benchmarks. Just wish I could have gotten the RTX 3080 to go along with it.
