> 3 dayLet me start off by saying that AMD and Intel both have there ups and downs. You cant go wrong with either brand. But you WILL need to put in a tremendous amount of work if you want the most out of AMD!

04-06-2025I bought this hoping that it would improve my framerates in Destiny 2. I knew that D2 likes Intel more than AMD, but the latest reviews were showing this CPU as outperforming Intel i9s in almost all games tested, so I figured itd help out. Making sure that my GPU wasnt the bottle neck, I turned down all of my settings and was getting 80-95 fps in most areas, thats the same performance I was getting with my previous CPU.

> 3 dayI upgraded from a Ryzen 3800X to get faster performance in some heavily multithreaded code. It is indeed much faster, though I needed both better memory and a better CPU cooler. All in all, a good deal if you actually need the performance. Most people would be just as happy with a Ryzen 3600 for a fraction of the cost.

> 3 dayFast, reliable. Nice benchmarks. Just wish I could have gotten the RTX 3080 to go along with it.

> 3 dayI do a lot of H265 encoding and this just blazes. I use a deep cool AK620 fan works almost as good as my Noctua 15 but allows my top slot to be used by my GPU. I run stock no overclock and never exceed 80-85c when Handbrakeing. I know the AM5 on its way but Im good for the next 5 or so years.
