> 3 daySo I have both the 11900k and a 12900k, the 12900k is faster for ram speed but has issues when populating all 4 slots. I have this cpu and the 11900k with the same Kingston fury 128GB 3200 ram kit. When dealing with databases they perform almost the same. During heavy loads the 5950X barely beats it out.

Greater than one weeki was not expecting the difference to be like this since 3700x is a great and powerful CPU, after the upgrade, my PC is alot more responsive and games are smoother, sometimes in specific locations in games there was just a bit of stuttering due to the 1% lows with the 3700X, with this one, there is none, im very happy with this upgrade. considering the price now, if you can afford it, then buy it, nothing is called overkill and future proof!!

Greater than one weekI mean, yeah its great but I cant really tell too much difference between my old i7 CPU and this one. I just wanted the bragging rights for someone with a lot of cores. Its the GPU thats important if youre looking to game.

Greater than one weekIntel is still giving us 8 cores and you know you need to buy a separate CPU

> 3 dayI upgraded from a Ryzen 3800X to get faster performance in some heavily multithreaded code. It is indeed much faster, though I needed both better memory and a better CPU cooler. All in all, a good deal if you actually need the performance. Most people would be just as happy with a Ryzen 3600 for a fraction of the cost.
