> 24 hourThese were a direct replacement for a 1997 or 1998 era Anderson Screen door. The original plastic wheels cracked and the door came off the track. These were easy to install but required a little bit of adjusting the get the door square and level.

> 24 hourAfter NOT taking the advice of Others and NOT pulling out the original, I made the mistake of assuming the part I was going to need and bought a “popular” one with good ratings. They were great but didn’t work with my set up. So returned (lost $7 on shipping!) but bought these. These were just what I needed, as exact replacement parts for old (did I say old?) screen doors that are in solid shape. The plastic nature of their construction will lead to eventual disintegration as with the originals , but I was so pleased to be able to find the parts and NOT have to replace the (more expensive) entire screen door! Getting the old, cracked and disintegrated wheel unit out was harder than putting them Into place. I needed needle nose pliers and flathead screw driver (and more patience than I was born with) but I got all 3 screen doors’ cracked wheels out and new wheels installed and adjusted-and all doors slide smoothly now! In less than 30 mins. Really it should have taken 5, but I argued with the old parts a bit. The adjustment screw that raises and lowers the wheel in the bottom track is accessed through a hole in the side/edge of my screen door as seen in photo. That’s why these are shaped the way they are: the “arm” goes in first, then the bottom Wheel part snaps into place. Then you adjust the wheel by turning the screw right or left, which ever way you need it to go I order to Find a balance so that screen slides level and top and bottom close simultaneously. The plastic screw on the arm doesn’t come out into the sidewall hole though-it just barely appears (nor did the original), so I guess that is just how the mechanism works and fits. But the “hiding screw” does require you to use a smaller screw driver in order to make wheel adjustment. (See pic). We have dozens of screw drivers , so I was able to use a relatively small one (even a “pocket” screwdriver would work) that reached into the hole about 1/8” and twist the flat head screw with ease. So glad these are available through Amazon! Cheap and easy fix to allow for summer breezes!

> 24 hourWhen our old Andersen screen door would no longer slide (27-yr-old) and the price for a new door took my breath away, I opted to try replacing the rollers, both top and bottom. The rollers plus wiping down the exterior white aluminum frame with 90% isopropyl alcohol resulted in a new-looking and functioning screen door.

> 24 hourThese bottom replacement wheel assembly for my Anderson sliding screen door (that came with my Anderson sliding patio door bought at HD 5 years ago) appear to be the exact same part and they easily slip into where they belong. I believe if you cautiously remove your old ones without damaging them you could easily clean them up and go to HD and match and change only the wheel part of this whole assembly which would cost you probably only $5.00. However HD did tell me if you do not replace the complete wheel assembly with Anderson parts you will void the Anderson warranty of the screen door. Probably not a big deal but something to think about. HD & Lowes do not sell this exact wheel assembly, but they do sell many different size & shape screen door wheels without the assembly. Another thing is it would be nice if this seller shipped the top wheel assembly that I ordered at the same time together with these. Please note that I was aware that only the bottom wheels were Amazon Prime next day. So i sit half completed with my screen door project.

> 24 hourThe product is perfect if you have to replace old ruined ones. Very easy to install; YouTube videos are helpful. Getting out the old ones first, as others mention, can be difficult. I resorted to grabbing them with needle nose pliers and breaking off bits til the rest dropped out the opening. Once installed they work about as well as the original, which is to say not perfectly, even when you manage to get the entire door back on track. This is not really a problem of this product, but an inherent issue with these patio doors.

> 24 hourAs much as I wanted the new rollers to make my old screen door glide like it was on oil, these replacements cant do that, but do get close. I guess theres only so much you can do with a inexpensive plastic replacement. But even with all that said, this is probably the best you can do - which is better than what the old 15+ year old one was. Replace away, just dont expect miracles.
