After watching a YouTube video, I decided to have a go at rescreening and replacing the rollers on my tattered screen door. The replacement rollers came with simple instructions and it was literally a snap! If you can read, you can do this. I expect these rollers to last another 20 years like their forerunners. I highly recommend this DIY project and these rollers.

Why did I wait so long? Looked up instructions on youtube. So easy. Parts work great for Anderson screen door 1991 or newer. Needed a flat head screwdriver to depress plastic clips that held in old rollers. My old ones were so old they fell apart so removing was easy. Inserting new ones was even easier. Door slides great. I replaced both upper and lower rollers and cleaned the track.

My Andersen door had been giving me trouble for years. Id lube it, and it would work well for a day or two, then go back to its stubborn ways of dragging and often coming off the track. The wheels looked semi-OK, but you cant see them well where they sit, and were 25 years old. I didnt really notice the chips missing due to dog strikes and general dirt and wear. With a little prodding the each assembly snaps right out, and these name brand wheels snap right in. Didnt even look up the process, just fiddled a bit with the adjustment screws on the bottom wheels until the door stopped rocking up and down while being moved, and wow, its like butter now. Now I just need to stop the dirt splashed up to the track by the rain that certainly contributes to my issues.

Exact replacement for my Anderson screen door and you get 2 (as needed). Still can’t believe Anderson would make this out of aluminum and plastic. Photo shows the new ones next & on top of my old ones. Same part number on the new ones as on the old ones. Easy to instal, they just snaps in place and adjust height screws as needed…

The screen door wheel assembly worked wonders on our Anderson door with bottom wheels that had worn down and no longer turned. Even though our screen door was older than the years listed, the part looked just like this one. We went by the picture of the part rather than the screen door manufacture years it was supposed to replace. It was just what we needed with a quick installation to boot.
