Andersen Lower Screen Roller Assembly (1991 to Present) 1 Pair - 1997310 by Andersen Windows

Greater than one weekSince the part was an original replacement everything worked well. Easy to install easy to adjust working perfectly my only gripe is that it’s made of plastic so I suspect that in a few years this too will wear out either to usage or weather. I had tried to replace the wheels with a metal one from Home Depot but they did not fit. Maybe at some future point Andersen would consider making them out of better material.

> 3 dayThis goes in the category of why didnt I do this before. Ive put up with the original rollers for a long time, I dont remember how long exactly. Maybe they rolled as nicely as these do but of they did I dont remember it. Even without instructions changing these out was less than a 5 minute job including taking the door off and putting it back on again and with a very slight adjustment they roll beautifully again. Hint for people who have trouble getting the old ones out, there is a hole at each end of the screen door, stick something long and thin in it and pry TOWARD the roller. They will pop right out. My wife complained that they are plastic, but I assume that is so they wont rust. At $15/pair just change them out every 10 years or sooner and have a great rolling door.

> 3 dayThese were a direct replacement for a 1997 or 1998 era Anderson Screen door. The original plastic wheels cracked and the door came off the track. These were easy to install but required a little bit of adjusting the get the door square and level.

19-04-2025Easy installation, just line the small arm up with the hole on the side of the screen door and pop the bottom in. Worked great until my wrecking ball (dog) ripped the door out of the track and broke one of the side plastic pieces that keeps the wheel level! Had the same problem with an old metal roller too so I don’t think it has anything to do with the quality of the product. There is one difference between the old metal version and this plastic one. The metal version allowed you to adjust the height slightly for balance, whereas this plastic version does not.

> 3 dayThe old wheels consistently kept getting stuck and would cause the screen door to pop out of the frame. After repeatedly trying to lube the door to fix it, I finally settled on buying new rollers. Easy to install, work great, and the door slides like a champ.

> 3 dayI would order again if we needed a replacement. For 7 years we listened to our seasonal screen door scream every time we used it. The existing roller wheels were present but there was a busted piece of plastic inside the frame that caused one the wheels to lock up. We youtubed how to replace roller wheels. What a piece of cake!
