ARES manufactures superior tools made in Taiwan by workers who are rightfully proud of their superior engineering, machining, and metallurgy. This particular tool is designed perfectly to fit in the tight quarters of Chrysler products. Other so called Chrysler pullers do not fit because their parts are too crudely designed with fat arms. I used this tight quarters tool to pull the harmonic damper off the crankshaft on a Jeep Liberty 2.4 liter engine without removing the radiator. My only complaint is that ARES should include a tube of Extreme Pressure lubricant inside the otherwise well designed tool case. If you use Extreme Pressure lube on the threads, then this tool will never wear out.

Exactly as described, got mine in a timely manner. Well built and does what it’s supposed to. Would definitely recommend this one

Used this on a LY6 (6.0 GenIV truck LS motor) and even with little space it worked fine. I used the longest rod. Maybe a car motor with shorter spacing would use one of the other three rods.

My C5 LS1 balancer came right off with this tool! I messed with my universal 3 jaw puller for over 30 minutes and it wouldnt line up straight no matter what I did. The dowels in this kit feed into the bolt and keep it completely straight. Very useful tool.

Have to disassemble to connect, but not hard, worked on my Chrysler Pacifica 4.0 V6.

I bought this to do the oil pump on my 6.2 and was a little hesitant due to the price. I’m a professional mechanic and I’m used to using Mac, Matco and Snap On tools at work. I needed this for home and the others were more than I wanted to spend for something at home. Don’t let the price scare you, this is a QUALITY tool! Quality I would expect from one of the three mentioned above. Worked like it was supposed too, perfectly! These LS motors can be very hard to remove the balancer from. “Cheap” tools can’t handle removing them, they’re just too tight. This one worked excellent! Never slipped off, good quality threads on the center portion. Threads are nice and tight, like they should be. You can drive it with either a 3/4 wrench, 3/4 socket, or (and this is where this tool beats the big three) a 3/8 ratchet alone. Located on the end of the threaded rod is a 3/8 female receiver for your ratchet. I can’t tell you how nice that is. The case is a standard blow-molded plastic case but holds the tool nicely. One thing I recommend, get you a tube of extreme pressure grease and grease the threads. Makes tools like these work so much easier, besides protecting the threads. I use the Quicksilver extreme pressure grease. It’s the best I have found so far. Thank you for a quality American made tool at such a reasonable price!

I bought this to pull the balancer from a chevy LS engine, like other users have noted the 2nd longest rod is used that bends. The tool did work and remove the balancer, however, that the extension rod bends in the process is disappointing. If a conical tip was added to this tool it would be perfect.
