Im returning to the office and Im bringing my existing dual monitors (also asus vl279 but not HE I guess) to the office. Monitors look fine and not too pricy. I thought I ordered the same model I had before but I guess not. Issue 1. They do not work with my docking station. I guess my docking stations second hdmi out only outputs at 30hz and maybe this monitor doesnt support it. I switched to 30hz interleaved and it works but looks terrible. Ive ordered a different docking station to see if that fixes the issue. I guess you could call this an issue with the docking station which does work with the asus vl279 non HE monitors (which must support 30hz). Second issue is they say its wall mountable. I guess. You have to pop off the bottom of the back and unscrew the base stand to expose the wall mount plate. But the mounting bracket is at the bottom of the monitor and not in the center so you better have something that doesnt swivel. I sort of had to prop one side against the wall and the second monitor against the first one. God forbid i ever sneeze. Most stands are designed to swivel a bit and its fine if they are attached more to the monitors center of gravity. One false move on these and it will swing around and get destroyed. Trying hard to not have to rma. Make sure your stand doesnt swivel and if you have a docking station it supports 60hz.

This is a decent screen, but it has one setting. You cant change the picture quality or settings. The low-profile stand it comes in looks nice, but is pretty flimsy. When I type on my desk, it wobbles. Unfortunately, its NOT mountable as the description states. Pay close attention to this. If you have a solid wood desk, itll be fine, but if your desk wobbles at all, it wobbles horribly. My solution was to mount it to a wall mount, but unfortunately there are no holes to do this. The description is wrong. If youre looking for a decently priced computer screen, this could be good for you, but if youre looking to mount it, splurge on a more expensive model thats mountable.

UPDATE: The manufacturer honored the warranty and sent me a new model monitor to make up for the defective one because the one I bought was out of stock at the time. The new monitor works great. Based on other reviews for the original monitor it seems I just got a rare lemon. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This monitor started out great and was great during the entire Amazon return window, but then the button started to have a mind of its own. The screen started shuffling through the different blue light settings on its own anytime it’s on. It looks like a strobe light and is not usable. The button doesn’t even work at all anymore. I’m outside of my Amazon return window and I keep getting the runaround from the manufacturer about the warranty after they said this problem is a hardware problem. My monitor has been unusable for weeks now. If the manufacturer is unable to fix or replace my monitor through the warranty, I should at least get my money back so I can buy a monitor that actually works.

Using this as my second monitor. Quality is great and its a solid choice and has held up well across games. My other monitor is curved and I now realize if I could go back and get a product like this with a curved screen, I probably would. Outside of that slight aesthetic preference, its been great.

Didn’t work. Return window was closed but AMZ provided a partial refund. Better than going into my recycle center. When they work, they are good for the price.

I bought two of these for using on a couple of camera systems and they worked great. Clear as a bell and a great price to match.

The price of the product is too volatile I bought it at 170$ and the next day it went to 150$. Overall the quality is good and matches the description.

The colors are so vibrant and the black is really black. This panel is like night and day to the monitor it replaced. Upon seeing this one I was astounded and had to check my old monitors settings as I was sure I mustve had something set wrong as the new one was just so much better. But no, the old one was doing the best it could. And so easy on the eyes. Reading, watching video, playing a game, it just looks great. One thing to note however, this is after I set it to Standard Mode under the Splendid menu. Whatever the default was when it first arrived was too oversaturated.

The frameless ASUS VA27VQSE eye care monitor features a 27-inch curved and 178° wide viewing angle for a vivid image quality with minimal color shift. Eliminate tracing and ensure crisp and clear video playback with its featured Adaptive-Sync technology and refresh rate of up to 75Hz.
