> 3 dayReceived the Asus external Blu-ray drive on time, works as advertized, meets specs, built to last, good design. I highly recommed this drive. Rugged, well worth every penny. Put it to the test, and preforms very well.

> 3 dayThis is a nice unit but it does not come with software to play discs. Had I known that before hand I would not have purchased it. Demerits for ASUS.

> 3 dayOnly complaint is that the diamond shaped do-dad on the back is actually an on / off switch . . . took me about 15 minutes to figure out it was not dead out of the box! Works great!! Would buy again.

> 3 dayReads whatever I throw at it. Didnt try burning because I dont need it for that, just read. Has no problem backing up my movies. Kinda big, but that is there in the description. Not really a problem. Note: I use this on my laptop. Have a power delivery type-c hub attached to said laptop (no power cord attached to it). This drive needs a lot of power over the usb along with the power cord it comes with for some reason. If I plug more than just the drive into the hub, nothing works. I just plugged it into the other side of laptop. - No, I did not try to plug in power for the hub. The cord for that is deep in a land that hasnt been seen by humans in years (behind tv desk thing.) I use that for when I use laptop for media center or steam game streaming in living room - No, I did not try just the drive itself in the hub. Didnt think about that till now and the laptop is WAAY over on the other side of the room. Besides, my external drive and mouse need to be plugged into it otherwise a cable mess appears and I cant use my mouse on my limited desk surface. If I had the chance to go back and order something else instead of this knowing what I know? Nope. I would order this again. This is great (for what I want.) If you are having problems with the drive

> 3 dayI have four external DVD drives. In 2012 I bought an LP that is built well and I used it a lot. It got old and stopped reading double layer DVDs so good. What I liked is this ASUS is actually an internal drive and ASUS built a shell around it to make it an external drive. The drive is sturdy and seems built to last, not like my LP Slimline that seemed flimsy (but in actuality is lasted a long time). Ive heard people say they didnt like the eject button because the blue light confused them some. The eject isnt the blue light, its to the right of the tray. No problem for me, but it isnt marked well and blends in with the facade. This external drive is probably the best external drive I have owned. The only way youre going to know though is to buy one and see for yourself.
