> 3 dayThis caused the windows explorer window to constantly open and close. The computer (OS10, 64bit) was able to recognize the drive and even read from a disk. However, I couldnt get it to burn BD disks, never tried DVDs. Had to return it. Looks nice, makes high tech coasters.

> 3 dayWe bought this and we couldnt get it to work. It would play a cd, but it would not recognize the blue ray player. Even tried it on another computer to see if it might be just the one that we had at home, and it still wouldnt work. We found another brand from best buy and that worked with no problem.

> 3 dayHad the drive for one day. Worked as described right out of the box. Using this external drive for backup of important pictures and documents. Also, my desktop doesnt have an internal drive and older software came on DVDs obviously requires a disk drive.

> 3 dayThe drive is very fast and so far, is dependable. There is a power switch on the back that is very difficult to operate. Ive read reviews that the eject button (which is kind of hard to find) works intermittently. Im using the drive on a Mac and use software controlled eject. So for, no problems there either. Works well straight out of the box. It is not (in my opinion) portable, as its a full size drive and requires a power source.

> 3 dayThe player works well. I purchased a new computer, and it has a very high end Nvidia graphics card, and it supports 4K video. I have 2 LG 4k monitors. I also huge a huge collection of Blue Ray disc, and I want to be able to play them on my computer. The software suite is totally waaaaaaaay out of date, and there is nothing to play BD disc with, so I had to purchase the software for $70. Then I ran into the HDCP problem. With all of the brand-new equipment, which by the way is totally HDCP compliant, it only works well when totally disconnected from and external monitors. otherwise, it is a nightmare. I use a thunderbolt 4 dock hooked up with display port. I had to disconnect all of that and hook up with a HDMI cable, and a specifc one at that. Too much trouble, and extra exspense.

> 3 dayThough the description clearly says it works with Mac 10.6 or higher, it does not. ASUS support was no help, and in fact, quite frustrating. When my issue was “elevated” to the next support tier, all I got was a phone call 4 days later telling me to look at my email to follow those directions and if that didn’t work, to fill out the attached form. Come on ASUS — work *with* me to fix the problem. BTW, the emailed solution didn’t work and there was no way I was going to fill out a form to wait yet again to try again with them. Complete waste of time.

> 3 dayThis is a nice unit but it does not come with software to play discs. Had I known that before hand I would not have purchased it. Demerits for ASUS.
