> 3 dayAfter a few weeks of use I thought this unit was dead, but it turned out to be the USB hub that was malfunctioning. This unit itself is performing ok so far otherwise. Ill check back in about 6 months of continuous use.

> 3 dayI like everything about the functionality of the drive. Its been quick and efficient with no problems. It does take up a larger amount of space than I expected, but Im sure I just missed the measurements in the specs when I bought it.

> 3 dayThough locating software for the Mac is a bit of a pain and pricy, its an amazing machine for the cost. Havent had any problems with it, very quiet, and fast. Downside is.... the blue LED light.... be nice if it could be turned off or at least dimmed... a little to bright especially at night.

> 3 dayEven though the description says it is both Windows and MacOS compatible, the software included (on DVD) only supports Windows. Make sure you have a MacOS application that will support the drive.

Greater than one weekI put in a lot of effort to write a review that would hopefully help others looking for a quality DVD player. I left this app to lookup a term I wanted to use. When I came back my review was gone. It has happened before. I am done with reviews.

Greater than one weekWorked straight out of the box like a champ. It have been chewing through discs non-stop for days now with zero error. I connected the device to multiple USB 3.0 hubs to see if I can duplicate any of the difficulties others have been reporting with Windows 10. Intel, Asus, and Fresco controllers all worked. No issues with Windows 10 and the previously listed drivers. Reading the negative feedback, I think the issue lies with the end user. First, it will not just play a blu-ray. Do some research before purchasing a product. Second, to everyone complaining that device would not power on when plugged in. It wouldnt power up by just plugging it in. There is a power switch on the back that some what blends into the design of the unit. In the defense of those claiming all of their units were faulty, the power switch is stiff and difficult to operate. A quick glance at the user manual shows how to properly power up the device.

> 3 dayReceived the Asus external Blu-ray drive on time, works as advertized, meets specs, built to last, good design. I highly recommed this drive. Rugged, well worth every penny. Put it to the test, and preforms very well.
