> 3 dayThis drive is amazing, but there are things to know about it! What to expect is an extremely high quality Disc writer. It isn’t blazing fast on reads, and I haven’t tried burning a blu-ray, so I can’t comment there. However- this is important- IT DOES NOT COME WITH ON-BOARD BLU-RAY MEDIA SOFTWARE I didn’t realize this when I bought it, but it can not plug-and-play blu ray movies, you actually need to download software to be able to play movies. It works beautifully with the proper software (4K, HD audio, immersive). I gave this 5 stars because as a tool (and what it’s made for) it’s incredibly high quality and a painless installation. Also, it’s kinda big, check out the dimensions for sure. I like it, but it’s definitely not for everyone.

> 3 dayeasy to setup and install drivers. I do not recommend using the software provided to rip dvds or BluRays. I have used handbrake over the years, but I prefer makeMKV, because it doesnt matter if its tv shows or a movie makeMKV breaks apart all the episodes for you, unlike handbrake which you have to add all of the episodes to the queue manually.

> 3 dayI got this drive to backup my movies. It is a great addition to my PC. I especially appreciated the fast installation. As soon as I plugged it into my PC, BANG! I was up an running. Plus, I am partial to Asus products. They make solid products. Everything from Laptops to Motherboards. Thank you Asus for making good products.

> 3 dayI bought two of these turds (NOT FROM SYSTOR SYSTEMS) and neither work on any of my windows 10 machines. ASUS Support is non existent. Tricky Device Manager deletions dont work. Turn around and walk away from this. 2018 and i cant burn a DVD with this sham of a product.

> 3 dayWorked straight out of the box like a champ. It have been chewing through discs non-stop for days now with zero error. I connected the device to multiple USB 3.0 hubs to see if I can duplicate any of the difficulties others have been reporting with Windows 10. Intel, Asus, and Fresco controllers all worked. No issues with Windows 10 and the previously listed drivers. Reading the negative feedback, I think the issue lies with the end user. First, it will not just play a blu-ray. Do some research before purchasing a product. Second, to everyone complaining that device would not power on when plugged in. It wouldnt power up by just plugging it in. There is a power switch on the back that some what blends into the design of the unit. In the defense of those claiming all of their units were faulty, the power switch is stiff and difficult to operate. A quick glance at the user manual shows how to properly power up the device.
