> 3 dayLovely umbrella. Pros: offers excellent protection for those with photosensitivity like myself. Small, compact and easy to take with you. Cons: Because its an automatic umbrella, it can close when you arent expecting it if you touch the button while holding the handle. Secondly, if it does close unexpectedly, you must then reset the mechanism by pushing the canopy back into the handle before opening it again. This seems to be a design flaw with all umbrellas of this size with automatic function. That being the case, its a beautiful umbrella that give great coverage.

> 3 dayIt’s totally as described. I was in SoAmerica and wanted extra sun protection. A “parasol” would have been prettier and this does look a bit more like an “umbrella.” But it does the job. Takes little room in luggage. Easy to carry in a tote bag. Good size for an individual to carry and provide shade. A great big golf umbrella would probably do the same but I used this as “an accessory” and not disappointed.

Greater than one weekWe bought one a year ago. Totally works to reduce heat from the sun. Used it in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and in the Everglades. Definitely noticed huge difference when under the umbrella versus standing directly in the sun. Decided to buy another, but wanted a different color or print. I ordered and returned two other umbrellas and bought a second of this one. This umbrella set the mark, and the others were significantly lower quality, even with their good reviews. What works: Color is good. Print is pleasing. Material is very sturdy and has no bad odor (the other two had strange and stinky fabric). Handle is comfortable enough, though it would be nice to have it a little longer. Opens very easily with one button push. Closes fairly easy with a button push and then collapsing the shaft manually. Definitely superior to the others we tried. Wish it came from this company in other colors or prints. Overall excellent value for the low price.

> 3 dayI bought this umbrella as I needed a lightweight travel version mostly for sun protection. I wanted something I could keep at the office or carry in my bag as I walk around town or to/from work. It doesnt offer that much sun protection. I can feel the sun rays penetrating through and it doesnt feel cooler under it at all (unlike my Sun Tek golf umbrella). This may work well for light rain, but any gust of wind will tug on the umbrella. The seller did reach out to me and provided an option for a refund because this didnt meet my expectations which was more than generous. In my view, theyre up front about their product and its not their fault Im highly sun sensitive and was looking for something more. It has a great pattern, and is small and portable, so it depends on your intended use.

> 3 dayHonestly, I was amazed when the umbrella arrived because its much sturdier and higher quality than I was anticipating for the price. I just thought it would look pretty and be a nice alternative to offer guests, but the colors are beautiful and it will be replacing my go-to. I love the auto-close feature because I dont have to stick my hand back out into the rain from a car or door, especially handy when carrying a purse and other items. Very pleased with my purchase!

> 3 daySo I finally convinced my wife to get a Sun umbrella because she is photosensitive. If she is out in the sun for any length of time, my wife starts to swell (head, face, etc). She picked this umbrella because the pattern is pretty. She comments that its well-made, but personally I would open it gingerly to avoid breaking it. I am not a doctor, but she was also to use this, and all these items below to stay in the direct sunlight for a about an hour and half which is actually pretty amazing. Items used for Sun Protection: - Coolibar Zip Hoodie (Gray) - UnderArmor UV baseball cap (Gray) - Coolibar Fingerless Sun Gloves - Glodeals Umbrella - Sunpants (Hazy on manufacturer) - Benedryl (On standby) - Sunblock This was the 10:00 am to about 11:30 am sunlight in early October. The umbrella solved the issue of direct sunlight hitting her, which is what normally triggers any swelling. She did not have any adverse symptoms beside minorly overheating, which was solved with some iced drinks. This umbrella isnt a miracle, by any means, but used smartly in conjunction with other sun gear can you get out there to family events like seeing nephews and nieces in the pumpkin patch which you wouldnt normally be able to attend.

> 3 dayDefinitely a LIKE! I bought this for the sun protection, and it is perfect! My skin does not fare well in the sun, and this parasol does the trick to keep the direct sun off of me when I walk my dog....or anything else I do in the sun for more than 30 seconds. Plus, its a beautiful accessory, and only five or six inches long when folded. I must say I almost didnt purchase this parasol because of the negative comments about closing it; but if you just read the instructions, its very straighforward. Just press the open/close button on the handle to extend, then press again to retract, and then push the ends together manually. Couldnt be simpler! Highly recommend!
