Greater than one weekDefinitely a LIKE! I bought this for the sun protection, and it is perfect! My skin does not fare well in the sun, and this parasol does the trick to keep the direct sun off of me when I walk my dog....or anything else I do in the sun for more than 30 seconds. Plus, its a beautiful accessory, and only five or six inches long when folded. I must say I almost didnt purchase this parasol because of the negative comments about closing it; but if you just read the instructions, its very straighforward. Just press the open/close button on the handle to extend, then press again to retract, and then push the ends together manually. Couldnt be simpler! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayI like to take walks on breaks at work. That puts me in the sun at the most UV intense time of the day. This umbrella provides portable shade for my walks. No chemical sunblock needed. Its pretty, easy to open and close, and withstands windy conditions quite nicely.

> 3 dayI took this out in the Florida Sun during August. I definitely felt cooler. I received several compliments on the umbrella.

Greater than one weekVery nice looking umbrella! We have been having a very hot summer, and as I walk dogs mid-day, I need some relief from the sun. This brolly does it! It is a little hard to close, my only complaint so far.

Greater than one weekOverall, I think this is a good parasol. It has good sun protection, is pretty, and the popup mechanism is convenient and seems strong like it will last. It is compact when folded down and stows away easily, and lightweight. My only complaint is that the stem of the umbrella seems to wobble in the handle. Meaning, when I am holding the handle to the umbrella, I feel a constant wobbling of the umbrella while I walk. Its not super obvious, but enough to be annoying after a while.

> 3 dayI purchased 2 of Glodeals Van Gogh Masterpiece Oil Painting Auto-open & mostly easy-enough to close parasol / umbrella. Both of them popped open forcefully, so, be careful that you dont stand too close to anyone when opening them, since they could be used unintentionally as a weapon! That aside, the artwork is quite nice. All I really cared about was making sure that it/they were strong enough to withstand wind (Ill be on any island); lightweight enough (Ill be using one or the other as a parasol), and...I hesitate to call it a parasol style-wise, though, it says it offers UV-protection, and, since it will provide shade, it technically blocks the sun, anyway. So long as it hold out (Im keeping one aside to use as an umbrella, when back on the mainland).

> 3 dayIve had this parasol for about 3 months, used it every day since I live in a very sunny place and was very happy with it. It felt very sturdy and protected me extremely well from the sun, since the fabric is quite opaque (unlike regular umbrellas). A few days ago I noticed a plastic part broke and I cant use it anymore :(

> 3 dayI purchased this because the walking and waiting at bus stops during my commute had become unbearable and I had taken to using a regular umbrella which did help moderately but not nearly enough. I really have no complaints here - its a beautiful item and it holds up very well in the rain and wind, and while it wont make you feel like youre inside if its a really hot day, it does block the sun very effectively and its gotten rid of the farmers tan on my arms, haha. I also like the button that makes it very easy to collapse the canvas, though I agree with another review that said it takes a bit of strength to collapse the pole. Its fine for me, but it may not be for everyone. I also havent had any issue with accidentally closing the umbrella due to the button on the handle, but I could see how it would be a problem for someone holding on too tight in the wind (when its windy I actually grab the pole itself, so that may be the difference). I think my only suggestion for improvement would be to make the handle a bit easier to grip - because I bought this for its UV-protection properties, Im often using it when its hot outside, and when my hands get sweaty it really starts to slip. I sometimes wrap a washcloth around the handle to make it easier to hold! Overall Im extremely happy with my purchase and I consider the price to be a bargain!

> 3 dayI have used the umbrella about three times and so far I find it easy to use, to open it you press the up arrow to close it you press the down arrow and hold the handle with one hand and press from the top with the other hand. I just wish the umbrella was bigger to cover more. I gave four stars for sturdiness for the moment.
