> 3 dayIm back to purchase my second Glodeals Almond Blossoms Van Gough print rain/sun umbrella. Have had compliments on how pretty it is and no sunburn while using it. I agree with another reviewer who found it difficult to close. Please read and study instructions in the description on how to open and close. It is opened and closed with the simple press of the up or down button on the handle. Once the canopy is down, (and the umbrella is partially closed,) I have to press the center of the top against a wall and then push the handle forward to completely close it. It is compact enough to carry in a tote bag or large purse. Now that I understand how to operate it I expect it last for years. It works very well for rain too.

> 3 dayIt is the actual design that you see in the picture. I had bought it to get protected by the arizona sun but woahhhh its doesnt work here. The silver coating inside the umbrella is a very thin one. The height upto which it opens is also a bit less. I would recommend this umbrella to people who want to use it in rains.

> 3 dayThe umbrella is as described. It is a fantastic color and the print is not pixelated to me as others described. It looks just as you would expect a picture of a painting printed on an umbrella. The retractable mechanism is simple to use. The umbrella opens with the push of a button . It does take two hands to push the umbrella down to the handle/base and lock in place. It comes with a matching sleeve for storage which is a nice touch. Simple. Simple.

Greater than one weekThis was a great sun protector and it worked beautifully in the rain as well. Had to get use to the buttons which open it up and close it -The button to close the umbrella only closes the umbrella part, Then you have to push it down into the handle. A little awkward, but it worked. The sun protection was what I really got it for and it met my expectations.

> 3 dayI love this umbrella. I am allergic to the sun and I use it when watering my flowerbeds. It is light weight, resists breezes and is cool.

> 3 dayOverall, I think this is a good parasol. It has good sun protection, is pretty, and the popup mechanism is convenient and seems strong like it will last. It is compact when folded down and stows away easily, and lightweight. My only complaint is that the stem of the umbrella seems to wobble in the handle. Meaning, when I am holding the handle to the umbrella, I feel a constant wobbling of the umbrella while I walk. Its not super obvious, but enough to be annoying after a while.

> 3 dayI purchased 2 of Glodeals Van Gogh Masterpiece Oil Painting Auto-open & mostly easy-enough to close parasol / umbrella. Both of them popped open forcefully, so, be careful that you dont stand too close to anyone when opening them, since they could be used unintentionally as a weapon! That aside, the artwork is quite nice. All I really cared about was making sure that it/they were strong enough to withstand wind (Ill be on any island); lightweight enough (Ill be using one or the other as a parasol), and...I hesitate to call it a parasol style-wise, though, it says it offers UV-protection, and, since it will provide shade, it technically blocks the sun, anyway. So long as it hold out (Im keeping one aside to use as an umbrella, when back on the mainland).

> 3 dayIt was a pretty umbrella. I wanted it for the Van Gogh print, so I would look cool rather than frumpy. However it stopped working after a days use. It wouldnt close by itself then not at all. If I had chosen a replacement I might have happier. As well, there wasnt verification of actual SPF protection.I actually need something with legitimate SPF 40+ protection. If you dont care about SPF and just want shade and compactness, you might want the umbrella (if it worked) if it works. it seems nice for shade protection. It is also compact for travel and a manageable size for someone small like myself.

> 3 daySince several family members of my family have had skin cancer and I am fair skinned, I feel it is a good idea that I try to protect myself from the sun as much as possible, even in the northern U.S. I saw several of the Asian university students sporting shade umbrellas and thought it was a good idea. This one came recommended from other Amazon reviewers, so I ordered it. Sturdy, yet lightweight, it fits perfectly in my bag. It would be perfect if one is going to be strolling leisurely through a public garden or attending an outdoor concert in full sun. As I walked briskly along in the sun today, I did notice that it would not provide shade for one arm or the other depending on how I was holding the umbrella. It does provide excellent coverage otherwise; you cant see through the umbrella like you would an inexpensive rain only umbrella. The mechanism that opens and closes the umbrella is stiff, which is great as it should stay open when it is open and closed when it is suppose to be closed. The matching sleeve keeps the umbrella compact in your bag and the cloth (not plastic) carrying strap is a very nice feature. I am eager to see how it preforms in the rain.
