Other than excellent glass, this filter saved my 70-200 f2.8 L. My backpack slipped out of my hands and hit the concrete. The filter was shattered, but the lens was untouched. Now all of my lenses have a B+W filter on them. Truly a great insurance policy.

Good for the price

I bought the 58mm B+W for a new Canon 50 1.4 lens. I make certain my new lenses get a new, high quality filter when I first open the box. It fit perfectly and has the look and feel of a professional quality product. With all of the UV filter choices available it can be confusing... but there are several names you can trust. One of those is B+W. This filter matches its designated Pro name in build and function. The body of the filter ring is brass not plastic and the multi-coated glass is very clear and distortion free. The M/C also provides easier cleaning of the filter glass.

This filter works great with my Fuji x100s! It fits perfect with the camera hood on as well. Image quality is not affected at all no flavoring etc.. Highly recommend!

Im sure the quality of this lens is astounding, but I wouldnt know anything about that because Amazon is allowing lots of counterfeits to flow out. I ordered this and it arrived quickly, I noticed that the seal was slit open already on the box, the barcode was put on as a sticker, there was no B+W QR code on the box, and there was dirt inside the case. Upon further inspection you can easily see that the lettering on the filter is not accurately spaced. The item is also very light, indicating its not made of brass. Best to buy these locally for now!
