B&W are the best filters I have used. They seem to block no light and do not even slightly degrade the picture quality, which many filters (and even some pro filters) do. But the box seal was broken. I dont expect to buy an expensive filter as new and to receive a product which has been opened. I havent sent it back because it looks ok, but I do not know to what extent it has been used and so how much anti-reflective coating has worn off.

This filter has excellent sharpness with absolutely no color casting. The frame is deep enough to use normal lens caps, as well.

I have both the 77mm filter along with the 49mm filter. First of all, both filters came with some dust completely new. The lens filter case can be slightly better and more sealed so no dust gets in after it is manufactured and packaged. The quality of the 77mm was flawless. However, the 49mm came with a tarnished filter ring. This is unusual for a product which is supposed to be high quality. I got it exchanged and the second filter came in better condition.

I leave it on my camera most of the time to protect the lens. I ran different independent tests on this one, to make sure my image wont be altered in any way. I checked for color alteration, image distortion, and sharpness. I did not notice and of those. The pictures just looks perfectly the same, even when zooming in all the way. Its a very good quality filter and I would recommend it.

No todo es el precio, estos filtros son de una calidad superior a cualquiera que haya tenido sin duda. El si merece la pena el precio o no es una cuestión que atañe a los aficionados a la fotografía y grandes discusiones, pero que cuando coges uno de estos y pones al lado otro de marcas conocidas pero de la mitad de precio... siendo sinceros hay diferencia en contrucción.

Excellent filter! Id like to focus on the customer service, which I found to be outstanding. I have always seen a perfectly circular round 1-2mm blemish on my filter which had a slightly different color tinge compared to the rest of the multi coated filter. I did not know what it was, until I came across a online forum post that mentioned that it was a multicoating defect/bubble. I e-mailed Schneider customer service, and they asked me to send in the filter, which they replaced for free under warranty.

If you want the best. Buy B+W period. Coating is A++, threads are utlra clean and accurate. What more can one say?
