> 3 dayTape on filter box was cut. I assumed it was purchased and returned. I looked closely at the filter and it was clear and unmarked. I likely will not return it (they would just sell it to someone else) but paying for a new item and getting a used one is deceptive.

> 3 dayThis filter is typical B & W Quality and the main reason I ordered it. It will serve as a transparent lens cap on a Nikon AF-P DX 18-55mm Zoom Lens. When I opened the package, I was happy to see the Inspected by Amazon Warehouse Deals sticker on the box. I felt reassured that someone had checked the filter out before it was shipped to me. It produces a green reflection under a white light, which indicated there are multi-coatings on the filter. I weighed it as suggested by other reviewers and got two similar weights but I could not find a source to tell me what a 55 mm B & W filter should weigh. ( If anyone knows of a source for this information PLEASE add it to the comments section of this review - so I and others can benefit from the information ) I placed a couple small drops of water on the filter and the water droplets do bead up in a lotus effect on this B&W filter due to the nano coating on the XS-Pro Clear UV Haze filter. The nano coating makes the filter easy to clean. There is a lot of discussion in these reviews about counterfeit B & W Filters. I Believe I Received a Genuine B & W 55mm XS-Pro Clear UV Haze with Multi-Resistant Nano Coating based on these results, and I saved 33% in the bargain by buying this filter as open box Like New. Very Pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayI havent used all the different brands out there, but I did previously bought a Zeikos set. Originally, I thought the Zeikos UV filter did an okay job protecting the lens, but the UV didnt do much; in fact, I couldnt see any difference in the pictures I took with and without the filter. The lens kit (the kit included 3 filters) cost under $10.00

> 3 dayI bought this to use with a Fujifilm X100s. The filter performed well, pictures were fine. But the camera case is too restrictive to allow the filter to be permanently attached. Not a knock on the filter, but rather an incompatibility issue caused by the camera case.

Greater than one weekI ordered this filter hoping Id get a real one, but thinking that Id might get a fake. I usually buy local at a camera store here in the city, but thought maybe I should take a chance and save $100. I opened the envelope to see that the packaging was different from my other B+W filters. I opened the box and noticed the filter was heavy like my others, but it was painted flat black, not chrome plated like the others. The fonts and gold lettering was the same though. I went to the camera store to ask them if I got a fake on my hands. The new ones they had in stock were the same packaging and same flat painted ring like my new one. I felt relieved. I did some research when I got home and found out that Schneider-Kreuznach just changed up the product a bit. New packaging and flat paint to help reflections. If I need another filter, Ill take a chance here again. Love these B+W XS-Pro filters!
