We bought this for our son when he was 4 months old (now 9 mos) and he LOVES it. We strap it to him when were going on a car ride or hes in the stroller and it entertains him for longer than most other toys. Even started putting it his crib and hell pick it up and play with it instead of screaming for us to come get him at 6am. other pros: 1. You know those kids who are way too old to be sitting in their stroller out in the world sucking on a pacifier? The shark prevents that. Hes chewing on it from time to time when hes sitting in his stroller but its not constantly in his mouth and its way cuter than a pacifier 2. I give it to him right after a bottle and I feel like its cleaning his mouth (at least somewhat.) 3. Hes teething now and it gives him something to gnaw on instead of sticking everything else in our house in his mouth keep an eye out -- the bristles eventually wear out. but it was about 4 months of daily chewing and I take a look at the bristles every day or few days. Had to pull off 2-3 of them because they were wearing out. No big deal if youre in the habit of checking out the toys you give your kid. By far one of my favorite baby purchases!

When I was putting together my baby registry, I had NO idea what to put on there besides the main items (which was pretty much whatever Amazon recommended...thank you Amazon!). Anyways, a friend went through my list and said, You need more stuff on here! So she sent me a bunch of items to be included, this being one of them. Honestly, my first thought was, this is stupid, why would I need a fake toothbrush? However, the price was reasonable, I had a lot of friends who just graduated from grad school so I figured this would be a nice to have on the list. No one bought it and I thought, hooray! I dont need more useless things. Well my baby was born and at 4 months, teething began (breastfeeding class never covered the pain of breastfeeding a teething baby!). She chewed on everything. A cousin bought me teething rings, she didnt really like those. I bought toys with those teethers. She got bored of them quickly. Then, I remembered the banana brush (I mean, who can forget such a thing!) and decided to try it out. All these positive reviews cant be wrong, right? I am sorry I doubted all you positive reviewers. This thing has been awesome! She loves to chew on it and will chew on it for at least 10 minutes. Do yourself a favor, dont be a dummy like me, and buy this.

Not only does the silicone texture brush prepare baby for a life long habit of brushing teeth, but my teething son LOVES to chew this brush. His gums are terribly sore due to teething. He loves to chew on both the brush part, and the banana peel part. With this brush, he is able to reach different areas that bother him. This brush is nicer than a previous one he had that didnt have the peeled down loops. Not only does he chew on those parts at times, but it also allows me to attach a pacifier lanyard to clip to him to prevent it from falling on the floor. And, the peels work to prevent him from pushing it too far it in his mouth. Very happy with this. I purchased a second one to keep in his toy travel bag-o-fun. It has soothed my cranky teething baby many times at home and on the go! *UPDATE* Please note that the manufacturer really doesnt intend this to be a teether, but a starter toothbrush. I read a few reviews where people had problems with some of the bristles being bitten off. Though not ideal, a bristle here or there is tiny and not a choking hazard. Its also made of medical grade silicone, so it should pass without issue. I have not experienced any parts breaking off and my son has been using this for many months. As stated above, I do allow him to use this independently as a teether, but he has never bitten off any bristles, hes not the kind of chewer to bite off pieces, AND I watch him closely while he uses it. Please use caution with any teether or toy for that matter, and always inspect prior to and during use. (Just my extra two cents as a mom looking out for all kiddos.) Cheers!

Our infant baby doesnt have teeth yet but is at that stage where everything goes into his mouth so we figured wed order it early since at least its meant to be in the mouth and hed hopefully get used to brushing habits early. We were amazed at how much our baby loves this brush. He watches us brush our teeth and reaches for his banana immediately and goes to town scrubbing his gums. The two handles are perfect, he holds the brush in either hand or both depending on his mood and is able to hold and control it well (not always the case with primitive motor skills and other objects). A quick rinse when hes done and the brush is ready for next time. It looks cute too (we hate clutter on the vanity but this looks fine next to his yellow rubber duck for baths). After a bath I dry him off on the vanity counter and he was forever squirming but now he just grabs his banana and is calm/distracted enough to not cause a fuss. Similarly, we have a weighing scale pre bath-time that he would be squirming in constantly, making taking a stable weight figure impossible. Now he holds his banana in both hands, isnt grabbing the sides of the scale or baby bath-time paraphernalia on the counter and weighing has become a very quick routine. Were excited to have him start using this on actual teeth soon but not as excited as he is, which is about the best endorsement we can give.

Baby loves it since it can go into her mouth nicely to reach all her gums and it’s super easy to hold with her tiny hands. Baby’s 6 months!
