Good projector.

Bought projector and have used it for viewing in home theater a couple hours a day on average. Now 9 months later white spots have appeared and the seller refers me back to manufacturer since it’s beyond thirty days. The seller does not back up the products they sell. Should have bought from A more customer focused seller. Lesson learned.

I was impressed by the image quality in terms of colors, etc. However, something seemed off about the screen size. I realized what it was when Walter Mitty looked like he lost 25 pounds since the last time I watched that movie. Compare picture 1 (1080p on phone) with picture 2 (1080p on HT3550) and you should be able to see the difference. In my setup, the projector is sitting in the back of the room, high up on a shelf on the wall. I had to adjust it downwards by a lot, but still within a bounds of whats correctable using its keystone adjustment. However, I confirmed through measuring the image, that the more keystone you apply, the more the ratio gets distorted. Where I had it sit, it projected an image of 94⅜ by 55½. This is over 4 too narrow! It results in a ratio of about 15⅓:9 instead of 16:9. The ratio distortion is less at less keystone adjustment, but more measurements confirmed it does it even at minimal adjustment. My current 1080p projector doesnt have this issue at all. I dont understand how this is even possible, since the keystone adjustment is (as far as I understand) not a physical thing, but a digital thing. Even if some viewers might not notice it, a $1500+ machine should not have this kind of problem, so I returned it within 24 hours.

the TK850i is the BenQ 4K that will deliver clear video and sounds great. the Unit comes with the projector and the Android TV Stik running android TV based on android 9. the setup is easy and you just have to insert the adapter from the top of the unit. I like using the remote that is meant for android tv as i gives you the best control for both the internal menu and for your apps. I also purchased a wall canvas to project on, and that made the experience much better. the BenQ Project will not disappoint. for the best experience get a wall projector canvas and find a big wall you can project onto. best of luck. thank you

Easy to set up, AMAZING Movie like quality Sound and quality at its best !! Best value for the money I wish this came out sooner I’m so happy with it !!

There are many in depth reviews here, so I will just say that if you have and love your W1070, this is the perfect upgrade. Throw and lens shift are almost identical, so I simply bolted it to my existing ceiling mount and it works perfect! Picture is clear and crisp at all input resolutions, but best with 4K content. Contrast is better and HDR works great. As with the W1070, the fans are loud and distracting during low volume viewing and quiet dialog scenes. Worse for me since the projector is mounted on a 9 ceiling directly above my seating position. But there is a silent mode, which quiets the fans considerably, at the cost of HDR. So for TV, sports, etc, I keep it in silent mode. For movies where I have the volume cranked anyway, fan noise is not noticeable. Bottom line is this projector is highly recommended!

Well guys what can I say about this projector? My previous projector was a viewsonic 720p native which I purchased from a co-worker, who had upgraded his screen and projector (he got another viewsonic and gave me his gently used screen and projector). I had been waiting over a year to upgrade. I went from wanting to get the TK800 when it first hit, to the LGs fancy portable one, to the xiaomi mi to you name it...I have a small apartment (its mounted a little over 8.2 away), so the throw was important to me, and I had been tired of not making use of the projector screens size (a homegear 110). Im a novice when it comes to all the jargon and terminology, however, I do know what looks good. Im a computer gamer and several yrs ago added xbox and ps4 to my list of addictions. Ill say that this projector has blown me away. An amazing image, no light spills on to the ceiling or anywhere that its not meant to be...fan noise is reasonable as well. Because Ive yet to buy a sound system, Ive been using projector speakers, and honestly Ive been impressed. Im definitely not a fanboy, but Ive certainly been won over. Dont take my word for it, look at my pics and decide for yourself. If youre on the fence, hop off and buy the darn thing. You wont get a single regret from me.

We were so excited to have a family movie night. The projector does an amazing job. Then it wouldnt stay on. Kept shutting off. Flashing temp? Its Oregon and september so we have 55 degree nights and its not remotely hot. Tech support was helpful but pointless. Telling me to try this and that. Nothing worked. Im hoping we just got a lemon. Im returning it and if the next one does well Ill change my review.
