These are heave and very heavy duty. Have huge screws…make sure whatever your using them ,the wood is strong enough for these screws.

Yes, I read the description. Yes, I knew they would be sturdy. Yes, I knew the dimensions. But still I was impressed! I ordered six sets of these while building a swing set for the kids. Watched the poor delivery guy load the box on a hand cart and bring it up the driveway. I think each hanger weighs 2.5 pounds. Other reviews I have seen the word overkill used. Theyre going to outlast me. I only had one small issue. I mistakenly thought a 1/2 lag bolt would fit through the 1/2 hole, and purchased hardware ahead of time. Maybe if I forced it. Used the recommended 3/8. I used 3 1/2 long lag bolts. Would have used carriage bolts but I dont have a drill bit big enough to drill through a 4x6, and didnt trust myself to drill a straight hole from both sides. I also sprayed a little lube on the bushings as they seemed to slightly squeak. Oh, and the carabiners are great. Held my (rather large) behind quite securely!

The instructions were hard to follow. I wasnt aware that if my joists were 16 inches on center (mine are) as apposed to 18 inches the instructions and product wouldnt work. Well we made our own work arounds and the product works very well, but we had to redial a couple of holes to get the screws through and we had come up with a way to use the product with 16 inch joist placement.

Some friends of mine asked me to hang their new patio swing for them. It was needing to be attached to the trusses in their patio cover and I didn’t like the idea of it being held up by a single eye bolt on each side. I figured there could be several people on it and could have grand kids jumping on it so thought I should look for something more stout. I came across this hardware and figured getting 2 lag screws in on each side and having a connection point that is designed to swing would be far superior than eye bolts. I pre drilled, used an impact driver to send the lags home, and gave the pivoting area a spray of WD40. It swung smooth and without sound. Better to over build than to under build. This hardware should last a lifetime.

Seems like a great product, but was missing lag screws and carabiner clips. I went to the hardware store and purchased what i needed, but it added another $20+ to the cost.

good product to hang our porch swing. easy to install. Squeaks a little, but it was a good product and a good price. Would buy again.

Just installed these to hang a porch bench. These seem very solid so far.

These are seriously strong. My wooden porch swing was put up by the previous owner of my home. Just a metal hook screwed in to the wood beam. One side snapped level with wood while my granddaughter and I were enjoying a gentle swing. My son in law installed these for me. Said it was easy and I now feel much safer.
