These were extremely heavy duty & I feel very safe using them for a swing. The weight limit & the price were great?

This is a pretty great product! I do wish it came with instructions, but these Amazon reviews were helpful enough. The box did include a sticker template with a predrill recommendation (5/16), but after predrilling I had a lot of trouble getting the lag screws in with my entry-level drill + 3/4 socket attachment. My first instinct was that I needed to predrill a larger diameter hole, but then I realized that these screws need to support hundreds (theoretically thousands) of pounds. I found a few reviews confirming my suspicions, and then ran to the local store to get an impact driver, and after that it was a breeze!

I order to set back in May and after a while I started to squeak really bad so every so often you have to spray some WD-40 or some kind of lubrication in there you would think thered be some bearings in there other than that they work really well

Overall, this is a sturdy product whose installation is fairly straightforward. The green paint is of good quality and certainly looks a lot better than bare metal. But the following are some drawbacks. My preference for mounting the swing hangers (I have done this before) is to run a long bolt all the way through a joist and put a large washer and a couple of nuts on the end; that set up will never come apart or rip through the wood no matter how much weight is on the swing. But the Beetooll uses non-standard diameter lag bolts, so the holes in the swing hanger are only big enough to accommodate a standard-sized bolt that is, in my estimation, too narrow to safely be used for holding up the swing. So I am forced to use the lag bolts that came with the swing hangers rather than my preferred choice of using stout bolts that go all the way through the joists. Consequently, I test the swing just about every monthly by placing a lot of weight on each swing hanger. we had a squeak in one of the swing hangers; we used a high-quality lithium spray lubricant to eliminate the squeaking.

Just received hangers and was surprised that four 1/2 inch lag bolts were included. The hanger is made of cast iron a d is very heavy duty. I used them to hang a 60 inch wooden porch swing and I think the swing will break before the hangers ever will. I don’t think I needed such strong hangers but I will never worry of them failing. Make sure you mount them in the center of a beam or the 1/2 bolts will split the wood. Durability should not be a problem....rust on Y time will tell.

These are seriously strong. My wooden porch swing was put up by the previous owner of my home. Just a metal hook screwed in to the wood beam. One side snapped level with wood while my granddaughter and I were enjoying a gentle swing. My son in law installed these for me. Said it was easy and I now feel much safer.

I have beams that go across my deck to hold sun shades and I added 2 swings for grandchildren. I saw these knowing they are made well and would seem smooth for the swings to go back and forth with. They are perfect and so sturdy. Well worth te purchase.

We had tried multiple ways to attach our swing to a tree branch that sloped upwards. For a few years we had a chain wrapped over the branch; while this worked (until the friction eventually wore through one of the links) it create huge gouges in the branch. We then wen through a series of tree straps all of which frayed and broke - some within days, some within weeks. These have worked perfectly - had to cut 2 small flat sections in the branch to screw these to but they have stayed solid for a year now; no more damage to the branch, no straps or chains braking and sending kids sprawling on the ground. Added a little bit of grease to stop some squeaking but other than that perfect.
