These bad boys were easy to install for a swing set, and high quality. My kids are beating the hell out of them and no issues!

The frame of the swing set will probably fail before these hinges do. The carabiners arent the greatest though. The hinges may have been tested to 2400 lbs, but I doubt these carabiners could handle anywhere near that weight. They are good enough, but its odd that they chose these to pair with their substantial hinges. Also, the carabiners dont open far enough. As a result, the coating on the hinges gets scratched as you put them on. Also, you must attached them to the swing first, then the hinge.

We had tried multiple ways to attach our swing to a tree branch that sloped upwards. For a few years we had a chain wrapped over the branch; while this worked (until the friction eventually wore through one of the links) it create huge gouges in the branch. We then wen through a series of tree straps all of which frayed and broke - some within days, some within weeks. These have worked perfectly - had to cut 2 small flat sections in the branch to screw these to but they have stayed solid for a year now; no more damage to the branch, no straps or chains braking and sending kids sprawling on the ground. Added a little bit of grease to stop some squeaking but other than that perfect.

I bought four pairs of these for a backyard swingset. Theyre monstrous and I believe theyd support every bit of 2400 lbs! If youre using lag screws youll have no problem installing these. However, I wasnt taking chances with my kids on the swings, so I installed them in a 4x6 beam using 7 3/8 carriage bolts and lock washers. Since the holes for mounting hardware are circular, the square neck of a carriage bolt doesnt have much to hold on to. I think 6 of the 8 bolts I used required me to hold the neck with a wrench while I turned the lock nut as far as I could, then hold on to the end of the bolt with channel lock pliers to get it the rest of the way. After a few days, two pairs of them began to squeak while my kids were swinging. Taking apart the hanger and using a generous amount of 3-in-1 silicone lubricant fixed it. I was impressed to see that the sides of the hanger which the center bolt goes through are threaded. I expect these bad boys will last long enough for my great-grandkids to swing on.

Product measurement for the holes state 3 5/16 distance, that is incorrect. Center measurement of the holes is 3 9/16. Made the mistake of drilling the holes before getting the product by their provided information.

I used these to hang two hammock chairs, inside.

Works very smooth with no popping noise

We use these to hang swings on our kids swing set. And recently ordered another set to hang a large swing under the patio. They are super sturdy and have held up really well. One thing I would suggest is after you install them, spray a little bit of lube of any kind in the bushing to keep them quiet as possible and lasting a long long time.

Wow - these are very sturdy and substantial hangers. I was impressed by the quality.
