> 3 dayWe had tried multiple ways to attach our swing to a tree branch that sloped upwards. For a few years we had a chain wrapped over the branch; while this worked (until the friction eventually wore through one of the links) it create huge gouges in the branch. We then wen through a series of tree straps all of which frayed and broke - some within days, some within weeks. These have worked perfectly - had to cut 2 small flat sections in the branch to screw these to but they have stayed solid for a year now; no more damage to the branch, no straps or chains braking and sending kids sprawling on the ground. Added a little bit of grease to stop some squeaking but other than that perfect.

> 3 dayFirst off, the swing hanger itself is great. Its heavy duty, and well coated to avoid any rusting. It comes with lag screws that can be used for a quick installation. However - here is the problem: Problem 1: The lag screws that it comes with have a cheap zinc coating on them - this would probably be fine if you are drilling into non pressure treated wood for indoor use. Given that this is meant for a swing set though, chances are that you are attaching the mounts outdoors to pressure treated wood. Pressure treated woo is highly corrosive and requires hot dipped galvanized screws/bolts to avoid corrosion. I initially installed the swing hangers with the stock hardware, and found that they started to rust and corrode after only a month. Problem 2: The lag screws are not a standard size, so you cannot simply swap these out for 1/2 hot dipped galvanized lag screws that you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. The holes in the swing hanger are too small to fit 1/2 hot dipped galvanized lag screws. So essentially you are forced to replace these almost 1/2 screws with 3/8 size hardware. Recommendation to the customer: If you are mounting to pressure treated wood, I recommend throwing out the hardware that comes with it, and replacing them with 3/8 galvanized bolts. I used bolts instead of screws because I had to size down and wanted the extra security of a bolt. Additionally, I already had the holes drilled for the almost 1/2 size screws so i could not use a 3/8 size lag screw. Some recommendations/ideas for the vendor: - Adjust the size of the holes in the swing hanger to accommodate 1/2 galvanized screws/bolts - Include galvanized hardware or dont include any hardware and tell the customer the size and type of hardware they should buy (likely galvanized if using pressure treated wood).

Greater than one weekThese things are crazy beefy. The package feels like lifting up a shoe box full of quarters. Unfortunately, I did not get around to building the swing set before the snow started flying, so I cannot say for sure how durable they are, but I dont see how they couldnt be durable. Im pretty sure I could swing my SUV from these things. The carabiners and screws seem good, but frankly the hinges by themselves are worth the price. I plan on making a pretty tall swing for my older daughter. I might use carriage bolts and put them all the way through the beaminstead of the lag bolts , so theres no worry about the wood rotting and the lag bolts popping out, and probably will not use the cararbiners (Ill use them for something else).

> 3 dayThis is the second time that I have purchased these hangers. The first time, in 2019, I bought a pair and installed them for a toddler bucket swing. Excellent choice. Now Im hanging two regular strap swings (under a Patio beam) and I purchased a set with 2 pairs of hangers. The price per pair is still less than what I paid for the one pair in 2019! Extremely strong and sturdy and can hold more weight than well ever put in a swing.
