> 24 hourI bought this item after reading the rave reviews and comparing it to a few other products. I bought this for work - to clean up drywall dust and other minor messes. I thought Id give it a test first cleaning up my jeep. Ill start by saying I hadnt vacuumed my jeep in about 4 months - so there was plenty of debris to be picked up from leaves, to hair, and other small particulates. Mission accomplished. My jeep (wrangler) and all its crevices are clean. The only negative - is that it took me a few hours to do it. Thats because I did the front seats and floorboard before the battery died. I recharged and then did the rear seats, floorboard and cargo area - and it died as I finished. In grand total, I got about 20-25 minutes between two full charges. Likely, you wont be trying to clean a whole car with this device, but if you do, be warmed of the relatively short run time. In the future, I guess I should be able to get the car clean on one charge as I never really let my car get 4 months dirty. In short, you likely wont be disappointed with this product, just be prepared for it not to last that long. Docked a 1/2 star for short battery life and a 1/2 star for a non-replacable battery.

> 24 hourWhen it comes to a cleaning appliance, definitely dont try to skimp on the price of a good hand vacuum. I use this to pick up dirt and leaves in my car, along with nooks and crannies in our house that are difficult to get to. It works really well and theres a visible difference within seconds (as there should be with a good quality vacuum!) Black + Decker knew what they were doing with this.

> 24 hourMaybe 3-4 months after buying Piviot, the the hinged refuse door that pops open to empty it, busted. . The hinge snapped in places. Perhaps it was me giving the device a couple good raps over the the trash can. In any case those hinges might call for a look see for better construction. But yes! I’m buying it again because I’ve never owned a handheld as powerful and versatile as the Pivot. Maybe don’t rap yours so hard.

> 24 hourThis is an update to my original concern with charging. I contacted Black and Decker Customer Service, and, with much professionalism and courtesy, they listened to my concerns, agreed to send a replacement immediately, and I received it within five days. The best customer service Ive had ever in dealing with returns/replacements. I have always been pleased with any Black and Decker items Ive purchased and am extremely happy that I have the cordless handheld vacuum working again. Thank you.

> 24 hourWill this replace your canister vacuum? No. The power is nowhere near what you get out of shop vac or a decent canister. That said, who wants to haul out the vacuum from the closet and drag it into the kitchen to pick up a handful of spilled sesame seeds, or pickup small debris on car mats, or capture a stray dust bunny in a corner. This thing is all about convenience. It’s always handy and easy to deploy. The features are nice and it looks well build. I just hope it lasts because we don’t like the idea of creating more e-waste. B&D should be ashamed that they created a product that uses a non serviceable battery. And we should be ashamed we bought it, but there’s no hand vac we found with replaceable batteries. So good enough piece of cleaning equipment. I suspect better than most.

> 24 hourVery sturdy. I use it often to get cats fur all over the house. It works well even on some carpet spots. Its noisy, but thats not a problem for me. I prefer a stronger vacuum than a silent one. The only thing is that I wish the battery could last longer.

> 24 hourTheres a prefilter that gets dirty and I cannot find how to remove. The manual is dreadful and has no answer. I filled out a long online expert advice questionnaire at the and of which I was told thanks, well send this to our expert if you send us $5. Ive been using and emptying vacs for perhaps 80 years and never before had to watch a video with ads on how to use them or spend $5 to find out. We have two of these and like them but if these go before I do, theyll be our last.

> 24 hourI had a Black & Decker handheld vacuum for many years that recently stopped working, so I replaced it with this. This has fantastic suction, even better than my old one that I thought was great. Love the brush tool for getting hair out of small rugs and carpeted stairs, and I love that the brush has its own little holder right on the vacuum (as opposed to in the base) so I dont lose it. The design does have some awkwardness that my old one didnt have. Exhaust is in the back instead of on the right side, so if youre not careful, it blows back in your face, and its pretty difficult to use due to that if you need to sit on the floor to get at something. Cleaning it is awkward as well. Its easy to pop open to empty, but the mechanism to get the filter out is in a different place and VERY hard to use. Its difficult to explain, but basically you have to pop half the vacuum off and its not easily done (for me, anyway). I liked the old design where the filter came right out of the same place where you empty the vacuum. Edited to add: The battery does not last long.
