Blues Brothers

The Blues Brothers is one of the best 80s movies I have ever seen! John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd are awesome here! Belushi and Aykroyd star as Jake and Elwood Blues who want to raise the money by putting their band back together and staging a large gig. The DVD is great. The picture and sound quality are wonderful. The extras are superb including the documentary and the production photographs. If you own a DVD player, you must own The Blues Brothers. I think you wont be disappointed.

You Can Tell This Is Dated ! Old Routines, Boring Chase Scenes Etc. Music Is Good Tho !!!

If you love the video and are wondering whether to get the DVD or not ... wonder no longer! The bonus material contained on the DVD is fabulous ~ the making of doco is really interesting and contains interviews with a myriad of cast members along with some behind the scenes footage. Personally, I found the production photographs section a little tedious and I doubt Ill be visiting there too often. The expanded version of the film itself, however, will keep you on your toes ~ especially if you like to recite the film verbatum ... new bits crop up all the time. Oh, and if youre watching it with friends for the first time, dont sing too loudly to your favourite songs, an unexpected extra verse could be in there just to make you fluff your lines.

Avevo il vecchio vhs di questo film culto degli anni 80 ed ho sempre aspettato che uscisse il blu ray, nulla da eccepire il prodotto anche se in formato economico è perfetto qualita video ed audio di buo/alto livello. consiglio lacquisto a chiunque ami questo genere di film, ma in una videoteca questo titolo non può e non deve mancare

Ive seen this movie at least three times over the years and I still enjoy it, I forgot how many years ago this movie was made and didnt recognize some of the characters at first, I will probably watch this movie again in a few years.

I love the VHS edition of this movie. The problem with this edition is that some of the added scenes add nothing to the movie, or are just lame and make a great film mediocre. It seems Mr. Landis caught Lucas Fever and decided to screw up the film. For instance, John Landis states in the liner notes something to the effect of I dont know why the exploding gas station scene was dropped from the original film. Well, I know--the scene is senseless and stupid. It shouldnt have put it in this version of the film.

A classic movie.
