the Blues Brothers is one super funny film I found the chase scene in the mall to be very good in fact I would have paid money to have been able to do the stunt driving in the mall the music and sound tracks were great an all around very good movie check this one out for yourself

I will give this movie a 5, I personally havent seen it yet but it was a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it.

It may be just personal bias, but there is not a better movie than this one! The cast rules, as well as the music!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatre we talking about here, the original Blue Brothers. 5 stars?? I tried giving it more but the fandangled computer box wont budge. 5 is the max. Well so be it. Great film, lovely music, throw it on for back ground ambiance or jam out with the homies & sweetiepies grooving, shookin, and jivin. The steel box is treat, done in a comic book theme, makes putting on the film feel special. Which it is, cuz its the Blue Brothers. Theyll never get caught. Theyre on a Mission from God. Cheers.

This was as much fun as it was 30 years ago. I couldnt find it anywhere for rent, so bought it. The kids will watch it again.

It is appropriate that the music supervisors and choreographers are credited first in this film. Surely they did the most work, and it shows. This film is by far one of if not the very best comedy-musical I have ever seen. Loaded with laughs as well as some very excellent musical numbers and a climactic car chase too good to miss, this film is a comedy gem from director John Landis and stars Dan Akroyd and John Belushi. There are several laugh-out-loud moments as well as get-up-and-dance tunes. Its so fun, so energized, and so hip that disliking this movie is impossible! This would make a great family movie if it werent for the frequent language. When the Blues Brothers finally get to their concert and start to sing Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, I was clapping and cheering. Never has a film excited me and made me feel as good as The Blues Brothers. Its a surefire hit and definite classic!

If you love the video and are wondering whether to get the DVD or not ... wonder no longer! The bonus material contained on the DVD is fabulous ~ the making of doco is really interesting and contains interviews with a myriad of cast members along with some behind the scenes footage. Personally, I found the production photographs section a little tedious and I doubt Ill be visiting there too often. The expanded version of the film itself, however, will keep you on your toes ~ especially if you like to recite the film verbatum ... new bits crop up all the time. Oh, and if youre watching it with friends for the first time, dont sing too loudly to your favourite songs, an unexpected extra verse could be in there just to make you fluff your lines.
