If you are looking for the smallest speaker you can find that still puts out good bass, this is it. I dont know how Bose keeps doing it, but they have another winner on their hands with the Micro. Mids and highs sound very clear and no distortion unless you max out the volume. Even then, it sounds better than most other speakers at max volume. I rarely go past half volume because it gets too loud. The thing I like most about this speaker is the bass is there even at very low volumes. The sound is balanced through each level of volume. It is easy to pair and use. The strap on the back makes it convenient to strap to your backpack or bike if you want music while on the move. Ive even strapped it to my shower head when I want to listen to tunes while getting ready in the morning. Since it is waterproof, you never have to worry about it getting wet. Highly recommend this unit. Their are better sounding speakers of course, but not in this size. This speaker beats most other brands that are twice its size. The Micro easily beats these similar speakers in both volume, bass, and sound quality: JBL Clip, Sony XB10, UE Roll, UE Mini Boom, Echo Dot, and Philips Soundshooter.

Save yourself time and money and get this speaker first. Ive been through a LOT of small speakers this one sounds awesome including bass. I live out of a suitcase and Im so happy to find this spacesaving solution to great sound as I get ready to fly. Integration with phone is great and Google a plus. This speaker will meet and probably exceed your expectations.

I have about 5 different Bose speakers around the home. And I purchased this one because its small. And I can take it on travel with me. I have no complaints at all. They continue to be superior in sound quality
